On par , if not better than the debut, Southern rock albums don't come much better than this |

I'll raise a shot of JD to that...this was one of those records you just couldn't avoid at a party back then. From the music to the Frazetta on the cover, it was just der scheisse, man. Full of hillbilly wisdom and hooky riffs. |

Saw them in Jax summer of '80 on this tour. What a show! Guitars, guitars, guitars! Everybody was saying how they were going to be the next Skynyrd & take over the rock world. Then Danny Joe left-wet blanket on their career. When he returned, they just couldn't get back the momentum. Nevertheless, this is top-notched music with 10 strong songs! Love every one of 'em! 10/10 |

This album is really part 2 of their debut album - it sounds just the same, and that's GOOD! It's a damn shame that Danny Joe left after this album, but that was due to his health (diabetes). Buy both of their 1st 2 albums, turn up the volume, get drunk, and break stuff! |

MH's original singer Danny Joe Brown passed away on March 10, 2005. He had one of the greatest voices of southern fried rock. I still crank up flirtin with disaster every time it comes on. |

"Flirtin' With Disaster" is a masterpiece of Southern Rock, the arrangement of this song is simply tremendous, intricate and rockin' all at the same time. |
