Cant believe there are hardly any reviews 0f "Charlie " albums.... a UK band from late 70s to mis=d 80s releasing top quality USA style AOR albums. The great AOR rock producer Terry Thomas..his band..his song writing ... (as well as vocals ,and gtr) are excellent... The band reformed and released two albums in the 2000's too..change o style.... kind of edgey guitar based AOR/PROG ROCK..but the early albums are prime time 80s style AOR..lush multi harmonies.... keys and synths..and chugging guitars...this album..leans between West Coast ..lite and Mild rockin AOR..... The late great Steve Gadd on drums too ...for someting a bit rockier.... look for their "Good Morning America " album (1981) or their self titled album in 83 Title track of Good Morning America is absoutely superb... wild synth riff over chugging guitars and multui layered harmonies.... look for it on youtube Band should have been huge.... |
