Moxy's first album without original vocalist Buzz Shearman. Shearman developed a throat disorder and was forced to leave the band for health reasons. He was replaced by Mike Rynoski, who would later change his name to Mike Reno and find major success as singer for Loverboy. Disappointing record sales caused Mercury Records to drop the act from the label shortly after this release.

Interesting for Loverboy fans to hear Mike Reno's earlier work, but this one falls way short of Moxy's potential. It's average, but nothing really to write home about.

Reno improved over the years--this isn't one of his finer moments. It's worth a few listens, but skip it and buy Moxy's first album or greatest hits if you want the real McCoy.

Production on this was better than the previous album, but this one doesn't "rock out" as much. There are some really good ballads on this album, and if you give this one a fair chance you'll see that Mike Reno did do a good job singing here. Good stuff.

This one is WAY better than the band's previous album. Mike Reno did a good job on this, and there are some good tunes that could have been staples on FM rock radio if they had just been given a chance. It's a good solid album, with a great "dirty" guitar sound. Give it a couple of good listens with an open mind and you'll see Mike Reno was better than average on this recording.

This is one of their best, most AOR orientated albums. I like it a lot, although I can imagine some like more there hardrock albums ! But this is sophisticated !

From: G.T. Walsh Date: December 31, 2003 at 11:11
Title track on this one is a great tune, and "Sing TO Me" could easily have been a huge hit. Reno sounded good on these songs but I have a hard time imagining him singing Moxy's other material. Overall this one is very enjoyable.
