Good, not exceptional, female fronted AOR. Typical Swedish product. Not bad at all ! Good job from Georg at AOR Heaven !

From: Marcio Tex Date: August 2, 2004 at 8:25
certainly one of the most beautiful music that i've listened to in this year! you'll listen to catchy choruses that only a brain surgery will can take out it from your mind lol... get it already!!

From: RushMan Date: August 4, 2004 at 16:38
Stumbled across this after reading the review of the CD on Melodicrock.com. Not bad at all, with some routine riffs. Worth a listen especially if female fronted bands are your thing.

From: Jonny_B Date: August 25, 2004 at 15:14
I felt that the first album was a little better than this effort. But at least they came back together to get this album out. One to check out if you can't get "Presence of Mind."

This is a wonderful album. Anette has such good vocals and the songs are so catchy.

A much better releases than the debut. Again nothing spectacular on show, although this one has some decent songs and production is way better/tougher. 'When Dreams Fall Apart' & 'One Life One Show' are the stand outs here.

From: Just Jason Date: October 20, 2005 at 21:09
I found this to be a good but not great listen. Nice melodies. Choruses were not impressive though.

From: Geoff Date: March 8, 2006 at 21:30
A lot of people note that this is nothing new, and they are 100% right. These guys and gal aren't doing anything that hasn't been done before, but one must admit they do it well. I think the debut is the better album, but this will please fans of the debut anyway. Both are very solid and this is in the same style as the debut. Most the tracks are very good and again, I'd have to recommend this to fans of female fronted melodic rock. Great stuff.

I put here my comment about ALISON D./against the tide(1996).One of the best indie melodick bands out from Germany with one of the horriblest female singers ever heard. It’s not possible to made a cd like this one with this kind of voice.

From: z4roxx Date: November 8, 2006 at 11:39
ALISON D./against the tide(part.2):Fantastic production, great guitar riffs joint perfectly with keys, super rhythmic session with one of the best drums soundings ever heard to be an indie around very catchy and energic refrains. It’s one of the finest indie in the last 10 years but if you sing my grandmother the result could be still better ahahah! What a pity……

Congrats to Anette Blyckert-Olzon for becoming the new NIGHTWISH front lady! All the best and good luck!

From: Photochromic Steve Date: March 12, 2008 at 17:34
It's a shame that this band only made 2 albums. I described them to a friend as Roxette meets Heart after a trip to the guitar shop for some bigger amplifiers! Good stuff.

From: z4roxx Date: March 13, 2008 at 16:00
The greatest shame is that in every singer's biography etc I NEVER read she was the Alyson Avenue singer.Try to realize what kind of leadership have shitty bands like Nightwish,Within Temptation or rubbish like that.No comments anymore....

From: rick kerch vzla Date: June 22, 2008 at 11:59
"Whenever You Need Someone" & "I Still Believe" are the top tracks at least 4 me in this album... "Echoes Of My Heart" (beautiful ballad).Nice band but now without the voice of Anette i don't know if they can continue...(probably yes).Anette was absorbed by the power of a band like Nightwish is and i wish her the best of luck in her new role.88/100

super class scandi female aor cd s.a priority try to find omega 2 reissue 2009 with 5 fantastics bonus tracks.for fans of broke n blue for example

From: newscandi Date: June 22, 2009 at 19:00
"Omega 2" is the same as "Omega" except it's not the original master tabe as it got lost. That's what ALYSON AVENUE told me. So for "real" collectors: You should hurry to get the original!

From: Pee Dee Date: January 11, 2011 at 5:38
Re: newscandi's comment 22/6/09 - Alyson Avenue's 'Omega II'is far more than a remixed 'Omega.' It also features 5 previously unreleased tracks that are so good, it makes you wonder why they were abandoned on the original release. 'I Am (Your Pleasuremaker)' is so hauntingly hooky, it stands as a contender for their greatest track so far (In my opinion.) In all, 'Omega II' should have an independent listing on the site (Are you listening Dan and Blue Charvel?)

pretty good female fronted hard rock music by ALYSON AVENUE and this will satisfy a lot of people with some great melodies, hooks and memorable lines!the guitar work is ok but i d lke the production with more depth and not so "plastic".the songwriting is ok ,but i d love to see some more variety of styles in it!best songs are "i still believe","tonight is all you get","echoes of my heart".good stuff
