Heavy Harmonies Review
From: Dan Date: March 16, 2003 at 5:02
Where have all the glam bands gone? Well, there's at least one going strong, and that's North Carolina's Romeo Delite. These guys do Motley Crue better than Motley Crue is doing it (although for the last half decade, unfortunately that doesn't say much . These guys lean more towards the hard rockin' side of glam, as opposed to the lipstick and leather sleaze side (comparisons to Cheap Trick are inevitible). For a self-recorded and self-produced effort, it is pretty damned solid. The performances are tight, and actually the material is more melodic than I would have expected, with liberal use of vocal harmonies.

This album is primarily rockers with one obligatory ballad, with the more uptempo numbers being the band's strength. Standout tracks for me are Shot of Love and Rebel Angel. While overall I don't find anything overly memorable, the execution is solid. I think this band would be killer to check out live. If you're a Crue or Cheap Trick fan, you'll enjoy this album!

Rating: 82/100

Spotted this diseased disc while hunting and got it fer a bargin. I just can't get into this indie, crap sounding, amateur year 2000 playing 1987 music junk. The vocals are hesitant and mixed way back. The guitarist could be much cleaner and the songs are silly and dated. "Carry the Torch"? Are you kidding me? The Glam classification is a bit off as well. Cover photos show a bunch of mullett sporting yokels in t-shirts (very glam). Good for nobody unless you are fucking the drummer.

Cool HardRock/Sleaze, C'mon this isn't bad at all, the nice ballad "Always With You" is cool but "Touch You" is my favorite track! catchy tunes on this song. "Carry The Torch" good one. Good addition 8/10
