Finally introduced on these pages ! One of the very best 'new' AOR acts of the last years ! This is once again a masterpiece and Roger is a genius. Besides Mecca, 101 South (another project of genius Roger Craig Scott!) this is the best CD of 2002 ! Don't miss it and support these guys ! Roger deserves it ! Where are all those AOR fans. BUY this, do it !!! |

Please can someone explain me how this cd could already have 77 votes for an average rating of 9.92 when it was only introduced three days ago on this site ??? Me thinks... Something smells fishy !!! |
From: Pierre | Date: January 30, 2003 at 9:42 |
Average is the key word for this one btw. Some tracks are good, but overall it's really AOR-by-numbers, when not slipping to the rehashed formula syndrom. But as Sir Freddy loves it... |

Right, something stinks here, but it is not me ! And Pierre, thank you for the title. I have the impression that a lot people really like me ! Thanks, guys and girls ! |

eh ... what's the hype all about. Didn't Greg Guiffria do these songs 15 years ago? |
From: joe dolan | Date: April 15, 2003 at 18:21 |
alright, im sorry - it was like 14 years ago. |

One New York Morning : for this song alone, buy this album.... great stuff |

Any pomp/AOR fan with an earlier album is going to love this one and the fact that the guys are on a new label might mean a few new faces are attracted towards this release. Those that enjoy a strong dose of keyboards with their guitar and passionate vocals will recognise the AOR formula at work here and are recommended to investigate. This is classic style melodic AOR. Those into the heavier side of the genre or who might prefer a more modern edge won't find either here. |

Disappointing, middling effort after two prior 'must-haves'. The energy just seems to be lacking. Believe me, I wish I could say otherwise, and for this album's sake, I hope I'm completely wrong. If not, there's always the next album. |

its funny how music career goes for some bands...well you see bon jovi for example have released 9 studio albums and apart from the first 5 the rest imho are complete crap! and then here you have harlan cage with only 4 albums on their back and what you get is 4 classics!...still bon jovi sells more albums than harlan cage...isnt that weird!!!!!!. |
From: AOR freaky | Date: January 19, 2004 at 5:25 |
Rob, you're a man of great taste and I can't agree more with your words ! Some bands may release the biggest shit and they sell (stupid people !) and some others, far more talented and with class releases, like this brilliant band, don't sell ! Who's to blame ? ! First the press (magazines, TV,radio etc.). They don't give bands like Harlan Cage a fair chance ! And if the record buying people don't know a band, they won't buy. Secondly, the record companies ! They make or break a band, see Darkne |
From: AOR freaky | Date: January 19, 2004 at 5:28 |
Let's take The Darkness. Not talented at all, but hyped by press and with a big label behind 'em ! Then and only then you can make it. Give Harlan Cage the same support and money and they are a big act, like many others ! The world is not fair ! But Harlan Cage deserves to be MEGA ! |

Amazing album! I can tell with pride that heard all albums of HARLAN CAGE. All albums are magnificent, but this album the most magnificent and majestic. The excellent music filled with sincere feelings, simple and clear words, form a musical portrait of this album. At listening an album there is a set of feelings, from delight and pleasure up to long also griefs. And the most supreme award for the musician, it that feeling which they have wanted to transfer through MUSIC and words - have reached |

The weakest of their albums but still miles ahead of the competition. |
From: Purevil | Date: June 4, 2004 at 13:35 |
incredible! melodic rock from one of the best aor bands of today... the opener 'Any Port In The Storm' and the melanconic 'One New York Morning' are simply extraordinary, don't miss them!!! |
From: Swriter | Date: March 20, 2005 at 13:39 |
what can I say, all HCage is wonderful and a top act!!! This is my 3rd fav HCage behind F. Colors and Double Medication. Any Port, Face in the rain, Later, and Deep in the heart stand among the band's best stuff One New York Morning is haunting and a masterpiece. Hope we keep seeing releases from this great band!!! |

Con este disco nunca pude. Buenas composiciones eso si, pero muucho teclado y esa voz de L.A. Greene que no me termina de enganchar para nada, como cantante no me va este seņor. Este disco lo tengo por ahi arrumbado |
