| South Africa isn't exactly the birth land of Melodic Rock music, but has come up with quite a few interesting bands so far, i.e. Stingray, Rabbitt, Trevor Rabin, Circus, Ballyhoo, Coleske, etc. I can highly recommend another one to you and that is Off The Edge, a band that was founded in the early 80's and is still active today. They have already released a number of CD's. The vocals are fantastic, some of them female (different singers due to a few line-up changes), but "Site under Construction" features Clint Cunningham. Awesome ! Another trademark are the excellent guitars and the great melodies. The CD's look and sound superb, true for production, artwork and booklets. If you are interested I'd advise you to contact their guitarist Peter Hanmer (phanmer@mweb.co.za). You will not be disappointed ! | |
