Good songs and better than average.

This album was basically a Myles Goodwyn solo project that he released under the April Wine name. Himself and Brian Greenway are the only April Wine members to play on it. Quite a commerical sounding pop/rock album. They have much better albums than this one.

Great 80's pop. Sounds like early Bon Jovi. Beg for your Love and Wanted Dead or Alive (A song Arcangel did) are the highlights.

Slightly better than "Animal Grace". They used some outside writers on this one. "Rock Myself to Sleep" was used in the movie FRIGHT NIGHT. Has some decent commercial songs.

Ok, here is where April Wine really turned into a so-called "POP" band. Too many keyboards, too many weak songs. The only songs I really enjoy are "Rock Myself To Sleep", "Wanted Dead Or Alive" and "Beg For Your Love". The rest? well......I wish I could remove them from the original CD and have a 3 track E.P. left.

What Gar said. Decent enough when you want some AW that you never hear on radio, but again you miss a more angry guitar sound. Personal fave on here is "Anejo".

Sure, this one is fairly poppy, but it's still probably my favorite April Wine disc. The songs are very good. I had the good fortune to see April Wine twice, and when they played the songs from "Walking Through Fire" I initially didn't recognize them; they definately are remade as hard rockers when played live. I think the songs come into their own given this treatment. All in all I really love the CD.

As mentioned, pretty much a Myles Goodwyn solo album. A lot lighter than other April Wine releases, but still some good tracks. I believe most of the songs were contributed by outside writers, such as the Starship song Rock Myself To Sleep. 6/10

a very good cd from AW, yes a bit more radio friendly perhaps, but who cares as long as they sound as good as on this one....

One of my fave APRIL WINE songs is ROCK MYSELF A SLEEP. Cool video clip too. Great album for any AW or hard rock fans.

And dont forget, this is a buy or die release. Listen to WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE or WAIT ANY MORE and you will get hardrock crazy and fly back to the glory 80s.

While this is not their best cd, the band certainly had plenty to offer here on "Walking Through Fire". "Rock Myself To Sleep" is infectious with it's redundancy, which is why it works. "Love Has Remembered Me" is a classic ballad...enough said. "Wanted Dead Or Alive", "Anejo" & "Open Soul Surgery" are indeed rockers that make me keep coming back for more. Lastly, "You Don't Have To Act That Way" is a playful ballad that has a great vibe to it. This cd in general is quite good & warrants repeate

I forgot to tell you that WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE is a cover song. First it was on the ARCANGEL album back in 83.
