Sounds like a subdued version of the Rolling Stones. Extremely boring. |
From: BPG | Date: January 14, 2002 at 10:18 |
Not bad, but certainly not as good as there 1st. The moved too far away form thier original sound. |
From: Dr Doug P. | Date: February 4, 2002 at 0:10 |
I don't agree with the above from "Tim"....this is not boring.....this band was a great band.....excellent live show....great individual efforts within the band format....Tim P.'s voice is distinct.....a truly remarkable rock voice... I know these guys from years back and played in a band called "Borealis" with Tim P. when he was a bass player..he kicked ass then....I am SURE he still does...Peace....Dr. Doug P. |

The Flies did it again. 2 CD's and every song is excellent. I never get tired of hearing this rock and roll. Tim P. is an incredible talent, as a singer/songwriter/guitarist I have so much admiration for this man. Both Flies CD's rock, I have turned alot of people on to your music. Would love to hear from Tim P or the other Flies so I know what you are doing now. Thanks for the great music! Doug P who played with Tim, contact me! Tim P, any recent recordings for Sale? From: Desslar | Date: April 5, 2002 at 11:37 |
As someone else said, the first few songs sound exactly like the Stones, which is actually pretty cool. Nothing as memorable as the Black Crowes, but still enjoyable classic rock. |

This is another CD I put in when I get drunk. It isn't that bad.........I think the song "Hello Mr. Daniels" is a spin off of Garth Brooks "Friends In Low Places" if you ask me. There are about four songs on here I really like and the rest is OK. Hey, I picked it up for $1 buck, so who cares? Right? |
From: Foghat | Date: July 16, 2002 at 10:29 |
Found this CD for 2 bucks. Not a great album but compared to the 90's rock it's pretty good. The song "A summer of love" was worth the $2.00 alone. |
From: vixen | Date: September 10, 2002 at 11:52 |
I got this album for less then one buck....and glad i didnt spend more. They r not bad but i defenitely wont define this band as good. |
From: De Niro | Date: November 24, 2002 at 6:27 |
I loved this band. I seen them open up for the Hip one summer and had to buy their albums. It is meat and potatoes rock n roll compared to the crap these days (limp, kid rock). |
From: Wishpool | Date: June 25, 2003 at 14:45 |
I got this cd for $3.00, sold it after first listen, not what I expected. |
From: FRATELLO | Date: November 6, 2003 at 9:26 |
Not a bad album similiar to Rolling Stones and Black Crowes style, but you can hardly remember a tune from this one. I rate it 5/10 |
From: sarcasmo | Date: December 2, 2003 at 2:12 |
This album f#@&%ckin rocks, I saw these guys blow the roof off the Teaszer in Hollywood too many times Tim P. was like a Jim Morrison but very much himself, there shows were electric, fun & rockin which is more than I could say for any of these bands out today!!!! I wish you guys luck wherever you are! |
From: FRATELLO | Date: September 9, 2004 at 7:42 |
The more i'm listening this cd,the more i like it. Cool stuff. |
From: Geoff | Date: September 9, 2004 at 20:24 |
Oh how I dislike this disc! I was just lucky I wasn't driving when I listened to it or I'd have been wrapped around a pole. What a boring pile of shit this is! Very, very below average rock with few, if any redeeming features. Not a single song I even remotely liked. Boring rock n'roll. |
From: gener8tr | Date: February 3, 2005 at 16:10 |
No sir, I didn't like it at all! |
From: raider98 | Date: March 1, 2005 at 21:26 |
turn your head, close your eyes is a nice ballad. |
From: hair metal again | Date: January 22, 2019 at 9:44 |
pretty good release for FLIES ON FIRE with a great hard rocking sound that is somewhere betweeN , JUNKYARD and the BLACK CROWES but not so good of course!their biggest problem seems to be the songwriting which needs to be better cause it s never just the sound or the attitude!i m sure they must been a fine live act though |
