Better than '...Bastards...' but still in that same realm of dark distorted dismal rock. It's a definate improvement, but still a million miles away from what you'd expect based on the Dogs previous output from 1984 through to 2001, regardless of the members. Take songs like Barbed Wire Ball or the title track from Bastards and mix that with Lou Reed's cover of This Magic Moment from the Lost Highway soundtrack, and you'll get something like this. Ok for what it is, but it's not the Dogs 5.5/10 |
