Seen by many as one of the very finest AOR albums ever ! I don't agree ! Is it not good ? Hell, of course it's good, but there is something missing here for me. Is it the voice of mr. Bolton that irritates me, I don't know, but for one reason or another this doesn't please me as it should do. A good record, and I can see that many rate this as an all-time classic, but not me.

Kudos to Dan for allowing this masterpiece space on the site!! This is without doubt one of the finest AOR albums ever.Full Stop. Check out the musicians that grace this masterpiece. The production, the songs, the playing all excellent!! Can't Turn It Off is one of my favourite songs ever. But there is no bad tracks in sight. A CLASSIC, a ONE OFF call it what ever but some 20 years on it is still awesome. As you will guess I LOVE this disc!!

No surprise that Freaky only likes it-AOR snobbery isd such a crime-Its not Styx or Legs Diamond so no surprise there. A Rolls Royce is a Rolls Royce. As a side bar I was interested in Freaky's commebnts regarding the Journey CD as it is not released until the end of August. Hope your not relying on soundbytes!! But of course you buy all that you criticise

This well & truly deserves it place on this site, phenomenal AOR that he got absolutely nowhere near matching ever again. Too few songs of course, & the title track is only okay, but any fan of 80's AOR should own this classic IMO. There's a thread on the boards about the best power ballads, & 'Desperate Heart' should be very high on that list as it's a MONSTER. 9.5/10.

This along with the magnificent debut are complete AOR perfection IMHO . Albums that i've had for over 20 years now and still enjoy as much as I did when I first heard them. 'Can't Turn I It Off' & 'Don't Tell Me That It's Over' are the highlights on this, any AOR/MR fan not liking these really does need the old head testing. TIM mentions 'Desperate Heart' as a top power ballad, add 'Call My Name' to that list as well, utterly superb.Along with the debut, completely essential for the collection

is this a re-release, I can not find it anywhere for sale, just have to add that Michael did rock at one point, saw him open for Seeger early-mid 80's, great band and great songs!!!!

It's hard for me to express love for Michael Bolton's music in a public forum such as this. I feel like that grown-up in those Frosted Flakes commercials who appears in silhouette because he's too embarrassed to admit he eats a kid's breakfast cereal. Sure, this is a great work of AOR, but it's tough to get past the Michael Bolton name/stigma. Probably his best work: street-ready AOR comparable to Steel Breeze, Benny Mardones and Drive She Said. But of course, you didn't hear that from me!

I did actually once own this, but like Koogles, I found it hard to deal with and I've long since gotten rid of it, and I don't even know why, as I still own Cher discs. This is exactly like Drive She Said, but even 'heavier' (LOL!) and the songs are much better. Yet, I still have Drive She Said in my collection but not this. Who knows? 'Save our love' 'Start breaking my heart' and 'Don't tell me that it's over' are great, but most the tracks are very good. Good AOR disc, even if I don't own it

I don't agree at all, I'm afraid. This is a good release, but far from a top release IMO. One not of Drive She Said blows away this album. DSS is far superior in EVERY category (singer, keys, songs etc.). I prefer DSS every day, every minute above this man. Sorry, we can't agree everytime, I'm afraid.

If you are in the UK, you can order it from www.play.com for £8.99 with free delivery and they still have some in stock! Excellent CD. Can't believe he turned into such a twat after releasing this little pot of gold!

since the debut is not listed on here, I will say I just pulled it out and a couple great songs,I remember getting this one after I saw him open for Bob Seegar and gave him a run for the money in concert!!! Fools Game, back in my arms, Carrie, She did the same thing, pretty good one before the downfall. Is it me, or do Michael and Steve Overland sound a bit similar? hehehe I even liked the next album The Hunger as well as Soul Provider, then that was about it for me.

ok, don't tell anybody but I like all phases of Bolton, except the last several covers cds. The first period is my fav and I even go back to Blackjack when Michael played with the Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick. The debut was good, but man oh man of man, this blows it away, thanks to a great member for tracking this down for me, what great songs on this one, Start breakin my heart, Tell me when its over, Save our love, Everytime, Desperate Heart, and Can't turn it off are the strongest to me after

Just thought i would add my thoughts on this release, so very quickly here goes....This is an absolutely stunning release, and most definately (whatever anyone says) one of the top 5 AOR releases of all time. If you call yourself an AOR fan and don't rate this, then you need a brain transplant.

AOR Freaky must have cotton wool in his ears if he thinks Drive She Said sounds better than this! This album is an amazing record from start to finish. Save Our Love, Cant Turn It Off, Desperate Heart and Start Breaking My Heart are some of the ultimate AOR tunes. Bolton has one of the best voices in the business. Period. Utterly Essential AOR.

Glad to see support for Bolton's first couple slabs of AOR brilliance. I don't understand the countless barrage of Bolton bashing that goes on by self respecting rockers. A man who did so much for AOR in the 80's. So what if he went into adult contemp. territory-you cant take away these brilliant releases. This was his best as it walked the metal edge with more hooks than a tackle box. 10/10

This is indeed a very, very good album. It's without doubt a top album in the genre (melodic rock/AOR). I like the debut too, but this one is slightly better if you ask me. The only complaint one can have on "Everybody's Crazy" would be the quite dated sound/production (if heard for the first time today) but I have no problem with that aspect.

Just looking back at the comments for this and some complete numpty stated i needed a brain transplant for saying this is a classic. Oh yes it was a so called Aor Freaky, aha no wonder why as he of course was ALWAYS RIGHT. Who am i to argue with an AOR God called AOR Freaky. Finally got my hands on the Rock Candy remaster of this and it rocks even more than ever, totally awesome. I still say that 'Don't tell me it's over' has quite possibly the greatest AOR chorus in history, well that and Touch's 'Don't you know what love is'. Now go grow a brain you dipshit Freak.

This is -I kid you not- one of my favorite cd's ever. It's all there: great songs (no filler in sight), one of the greatest voices ever on show, skilled musicians, and a killer production (Neil Kernon). And would you believe it: there's only one ballad on the record . For the rest of his career, that was something that was going to change quickly...

It was with trepidation that I forked out $4 to get the Everybody's Crazy cd recently. It just arrived in the mail. I didn't open it straight away cause I didn't want anyone to see the title. "New Album who's it by?" said the postmistress who knows my cd obsession. "Yeah, it's ummm... Motley Crue" I lied. When I got home I put on the title track and holy crap... it is an awesome song. Still, I wish he changed his name when he went all Mother's Day gift musically. I am worried someone will spot the cd on my shelf and then think I'm a wanker with shit taste... Screw you Michael Bolton, you cheese-riddled crooner! But I do like this album...
