A lousy introduction for those of who have YET to be introduced to one of the early nineties' most ignored and under-rated bands. Almost all of the tracks were yanked off of Slaughter's first and second records ('Stick It To Ya' & 'The Wild Life'). This "greatest hits" album is not that informative so if you are new to Slaughter, pick up 'Stick It To Ya', which is a much better intro to this band. 7.0/10

Haven't heard this album. But, I heard it was a record label release that the band was not happy with. Didn't they ask their fans not to support this release? Labels suck. No wonder people burn their own CD's anymore.

Not a bad collection if you don't own any Slaughter CD's. It does rely a tad much on the first 2 CD's. They should've waited till '98/'99 and they would've had more to choose from.

There is a reason it only contains songs from the first two CDs,thats because thats all they had released prior to this! Fear no evil,released the same year,was on a different label & was possibly released at the same time or after this compilation!

i recommand this cd s.cause at my taste in all slaughter s records there is some excellent songs,very average songs and very bad songs.so here you have a good selection of their best songs.this best of have his moments but there is more best songs (super hard u s)than average or bad songs.

This band basically broke through because some certain hits here and there like for example "Real Love" which a good mid tempo song,"Eye To Eye" & "Burnin' Bridges" among other cuts that are more or less under the same pattern...even though the band was not that huge still got the attention of the media back then...a decent collectin that contains what we can call the resume of the,quite unbalanced,career...88/100

I disagree, Rick. Slaughter broke through for two reasons, and they are the first (and last) two songs on this compilation. "Up All Night" and "Fly To The Angels" were far and away the band's biggest hits. For about six months in 1990, you couldn't turn on MTV without seeing one of those two videos. If you need a third reason, there's "Spend My Life." Take those two songs out of the equation, and Slaughter were a marginal band. Beyond that, it seems like this compilation is really sketchy, and just seems to throw together randomly selected album tracks from the first two discs. Two of their less-played, but better, singles, "Desperately" and "Times They Change" are missing, in favor of deep cuts, including the two absolute WORST songs on Stick It To Ya, "She Wants More" and "Loaded Gun." I get that whoever put this out didn't have rights to the CMC albums, which is why only songs from the first two discs appear here. But even many of them don't seem to be chosen with any kind of attent
