If you notice that a particular Roxy Blue CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Roxy Blue are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

I applaud FNA's attempts to bring back some lost classics, but so far, their efforts have been pretty weak. Tora Tora's Revolution Day is great, but they butchered the remixes of those early Dirty Looks albums. So here's a live show from 1991, Roxy Blue's last hometown gig before heading to L.A. to record their one-and-only album. Honestly, this is a bootleg, nothing more, and not a particularly good one. Yeah, tones of live energy, but the sound is just not good. This is the kind of thing that would be traded on bootleg boards and given a 7 out of 10, but FNA is actually trying to make money off it. For what it's worth, there is an FM broadcast from the In Concert series, Roxy Blue playing the Troubador in L.A., which has much beter sound. It's floating around out there, you can find it if you really want to. This just ain't worth paying money for.

I have just listened to this, actually, live bootleg of Roxy Blue which in my personal opinion it killed the potential of the band(what they really had to show to the public)as the songs are kicking a** ones but the almost extremely poor sound of this record shadows everything...didn't they have the opportunity to record a real live one somewhere in their 15 minutes of fame???...it would have been more than awesome IMO...this band obviously and as i have said before it deserved a more than an "underground" status but well...in total agreement with Doghouse's comment above...70/100

Well, Rick, you know how it was. These guys came out in the spring of '92, really the last new glam-metal band to get any kind of push. Some more established bands had a little succcess after that point, but Roxy Blue weere really the last new name in that style. As I recall, "Rob The Cradle" and "Luv On Me" both got a fair amount of airplay, but it was just bad timing. Had they come out in '88 or '89, they might welll have been a lot bigger. As for this boom-box-sounding bootleg, it's interesting, one of FNA's other releases has a live version of "Rob The Cradle," from a show in Milwaukeee, that sounds much better. If they had the whole show, that should have been the live album.
