Like any artist who has such a large back catalogue this CD misses so many great tracks and it always disapoints me when live versions of songs are included,but otherswise a solid release with some great songs that span his whole career!

I found this real cheap and was glad because there's nothing special here. The basement tapes might impress some but its a good title because it sounds like I'm upstairs listening to music drifting up from the basement. Never even touched the interview. I love Ozzy, but all in all this is an odd and almost unnecessary compilation.

Why "Shot in the Dark" was removed from this greatest hits package I will never understand. Just doesn't make sense. Other than that, not a bad place to start if you're just starting to get into Ozzy's stuff (mostly his solo stuff). This hits the high points and offers you some rarities and an interview. Once again, this isn't a bad place to start but it's far from definitive.

Get this one! It is a fine greatest hits cd! Cool songs from the best of OZZY's eras. Cool one! If you don't have it yet, then move your lazy ass and buy it!!!!

Were there two different releases of this CD? My version also has "Shot in the Dark" at track 8, but does not have "Miracle Man," which is what is listed as track 8 above. Is that a misprint, or did later versions of this CD replace "Shot in the Dark?"

It seems to me this was right around the time Ozzy really began a career resurgence. I mean, the guy never went away, and was always very popular in metal circles. But with Ozzfest making headlines, and a bit of a more accessible sound on tunes like "Mama I'm Comin' Home" and "Perry Mason," it seems like he was becoming more of a mainstream figure. So here's his first compilation, and it's very sketchy. The biggest hits are mostly there,, and songs like "Shot In The Dark" and "No More Tears" got a boost on radio after not being heard for years. The basement tapes are neat to hear--once. Then you're back to listening to the original Sabbath albums. And "Back On Earth" is a keyboard-saturated ballad sounding like a leftover from Ozzmosis, and was a big hit during the winter of my senior year of high school, but definitely very un-mmetal. "I Don't Wanna Change The World" ... this song wona Grammy? I don't EVER remember hearing it when No More Tears was first out.

Doghouse - something UNHOLY pierced the air a couple weeks ago. Tad Pole-y singing 'Crazy Train' at Melodic Rockfest 3. I know he's a god in HH circles but I just don't get it. Overall a much better lineup than what's going around these days at say Rocklahoma. Stallion: I've said before I don't get the mythic status "Poley Poley" and his former band have achieved in the "melodic rock" subculture, even though I like some of their tunes. They certainlly weren't regarded with anything approaching that kind of reverence circa 1990. As for that lineup, with the exception of Bombay Black (whose Bullets And Booze is probably my favorrite nonthrash/death/extreme metal album of the last few years), none of those names made me pitch a tent.
