If you use and and enjoy the site, please consider donating $20, $10, or even $5. It's only once a year and every bit helps.

Thank you to everyone who has stepped up and donated thus far!

If you notice that a particular Black Oak Arkansas CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. These guys are an aquired taste I'll give you that. Axl Rose & David Lee Roth owe Jim Dandy HUGE royalties for ripping him off left and right!! My favorite southern rock band by far. They sound like they could fall apart at any second which just adds to the sexiness and danger with these guys. "Hot Rod" is the best tune here and Jim Dandy was such a charasmatic frontman that each tune has such a unique vibe to it. Has a TON going for it in my opinion.

back in the early 70's these guys were one of the hottest bands going.Tony is right david lee roth is a jim dandy ripoff.

Definitely an acquired taste... personally, Jim Dandy's vocals don't work for me; but the music's pretty damn good.

Man, Jaun Carlos, you're right about this one. "Hot And Nasty" is a cool song, and a few of the harder ones too, but mostly in that annoying, piss-everybody-off kind of hillbilly way. To tell the truth, a lot of these songs are pretty fuckin' stupid. Jesse Dupree took Jim Dandy's whole "wild-eyed redneck maniac" schtick and made it a whole lot more fun.
