This is a big and nice surprise, people ! A stunning, melodic hardrock record on a very high level ! Nice songs, powerful, dynamic, melodic ! Only available on Jap import at the moment but worth every penny ! Recommended hardrock stuff and a great job from Martin, Blades and that Jap guy !

Brilliant in one word. Eric Martin has never sounded better, ably backed by Jack Blades. Tak Matsumoto is a bit of a star aswell - never heard him before this. Lets hope this isn't a one off release and that it sells by the bucket load. Superb

Hey Jez/AOR Freaky, who does this sound like? I was never a big fan of Mr.Big (although I did like their more commercial tracks), and I found Damn Yankees a bit patchy, you think I should give this a miss?

He, TIM(2), I also was never a big Mr.Big fan at all and Damn Yankees was good, but no more. This is 'very heavy', melodic, well played and the songs are of a high quality ! How do they sound ? Not easy to answer : a bit like a mix of Mr.Big, Night Ranger, Yankees . . . but good and different the same time. Check it out, I don't think you will be disappointed dear TIM(2), especially because I have the impression you also like the more powerful, heavy stuff !

I would describe it like a heavy Mr.Big with a more modern twist, but if modern stuff is not your taste, don't be afraid, because i hate modern rock more than anything else and absolutely love this debut. This album is really good and has classic hard rock roots. Eric Martin is singing like he didn't for years, Jack Blades is terrific as always, and Tak Matsumoto does a great job, even if i was expecting a little more virtuosity from him. Recommended for any fan of good hard rock music.

Can't get over how great this sounds. I'm a big fan of both Martin and Blades, but Tak is absolutely awesome. Another very impressive effort from a band that will never see a second of light on any Canadian radio station...thank God for the internet.

Hey TIM(2), I get the impression you might be best off skipping this one. All I can say, is listen yourself before being overwhelmed by the hype. It's a good hard rock CD, but like you, Mr Big and Damn Yankees never did much for me unless they were being commercial / melodic. This is a good solid hard rock album, but doesn't really have those cool melodic gems occasionaly found on a Mr Big album. Cool riffs / music, but to me just standard hard rock done well. 7/10

Buenísimo!! Con un toque 'moderno', pero en el buen sentido, han sabido actualizar el hard melódico, sin sacrificar la calidad de las composiciones, y además bien producido. 9.5/10

I'm with Geoff on this one. I was lucky enough to be able to borrow a copy before I paid out for it, and it's not my bag at all. Pretty standard hard-rock fare all nicely played and stuff but no real hooks or melodies to get me interested. Granted I've never really liked Eric Martin (his solo albums - apart from the 1st - were tuneless crap), but surely Jack Blades vocals' would've suited this better...

This little gem appeared in my mailbox today, and damn, it was worth the (brief) wait! I'm a huge Mr. Big fan - I love bluesy vocals, and no one does it better than Eric Martin. This simply kicks ass, start to finish. Most of ya'll know I absolutely HATE nu-breed, but trust me, this doesn't fit that category. It's modern, but doesn't stray too far from my tastes. (OMG, I'm actually agreeing with the Freak - break out the straitjacket! )

at least Eric Martin has found the metal sound and his incredible voice leads this album to the top of the rock masterpieces. 9/10

Never Goodbye is a soundtrack from Ultraman movie callde Ultraman: The Next. You can download that song from www.thai-toku.com Tak Matsumoto is a famous songwriter, composer, producer and guitarist in Japan. He is well-known with his former band B'z, which has been sold their album around 80 million copies in Japan only. Do you believe that? I do.

10, 10, y 10 a TODO!! Dueto en Everyting passes away es incomparable. Guitarras al mas puro estilo Steve Vay en I wish you here Riffs impresionantes en The greatest show on earth. Sings of life me pone la carne de gallina, literal!.

I can't believe how good this is, words fail me to describe what the combination of EM's vocals, TM's guitar shredding and killer songwriting does. It's hardrock with a modern twist, but in the best way one could do that. The only downside is that it is really hard to get your hands on the album in Europe, but that really is the only downside I could think of, a 10/10!!

CD starts with a modern sound, but as MelodicMan said, its no problem. The melodies stand and carry the song. Mr. Martin is always great. For my taste it´s a bit to groovedriven in some songs. All in all a good one.

Heavy enough to get me started, melodic enough to make me stay. Great cd and contributions from all involved. A keeper that gets regular play around here.

I agree with most of the comments. Very good playing, but not alot of hooks and memorable songs. The thing that gets me is, Eric Martin sounds great, but really sounds just like Mike Reno from Loverboy. I KNOW!!! Go listen now and you'll see what I mean. It's almost scary how much he sounds like him.
