If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Black 'n Blue CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Black 'n Blue are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

23 years in waiting since the last studio effort for this? A more appropriate title would be 'Hell Yawn'. In almost a quarter of a century you think Black N Blue would have saved a couple aces up their sleeve, but it's clear that the magic is long gone. 'Hell Yeah' continues the downward spiral slide of 'Nasty Nasty'(1986) and 'In Heat'(1988). You can't blame the Gene Simmons hex on this third strike for being bland, and hook-less with only a couple decent mid tempo tracks, 'Fools bleed' 'Falling Down'. Looking back in time I consider 'B n B' a good second tier band, which didn't have what it takes to go to the next level after peaking with 'Without Love' (1985), which sounded great with the production skills of Bruce Fairbairn. Even that release's first and only single was the power ballad 'Miss Misery'. Missing on 'Hell Yeah' is now KISS clone guitarist Tommy Thayer in which I I was never a a big fan of, but maybe the original line-up would have helped. C- on the Stallion Scale.

Correction, that's 'Miss Mystery', Miss Misery is a ex, restraining order, still pending.

Wow. I'm not completely on the other side of the fence as MS but I'm mostly over. This disc has some very good music on it that old Black 'N Blue fans will really enjoy. It also has some filler. That said, I COMPLETELY understand what Black 'N Blue is as I've been a fan since the first disc. That said, I agree that the tunes went downhill after the epic "Without Love". This is, and will always be, a party band that has an interesting mix. "Target" is very cool and "C'mon" would be a great show opener. To each their own but I liked it a lot. 85/100

Really happy for this come back! It's true, it has some filler songs but it is a huge very good realese. Target, hail hail, c'mon and hell yeah seam take from whitout love. Icon of paty rock with ratt and danger danger. Rock on guys!

Not as much filler as said above. I found this to be a great album! Has some real rockers on it . Fave songs are Target,Hail-Hail and C'mon.

Pretty decent album for a band that was more or less out of the scene for a while..."Monkey","Hail Hail","C'mon","Angry Drunk Son Of A Bitch","So Long","Candy" & Hell Yeah"(probably the best song of the record)are my faves...good to have 'em back anyway!!!...82/100

From: Erikk Date: July 25, 2021 at 14:03
Target is by far the best song here. Average album but nothing extraordinary. Lacking big hooks. Pretty straight forward hard rock.

Well I had to wait for ages to find this cd for a decent price. Was it worth the wait? Hell Yeah!! Then I come onto HH to see what other reviewers thought. The overall rating of 85 is fair, but the reviews? Those reviews above me are bullshit. If anyone gets put off by the above reviews they have done a disservice. This is an excellent album and one for the fans. So much melody, some stomping rockers and great ballads. World Goes Round should have been a hit and would have for a younger band. I can't stop listening to this album. If it was released now (10 years later) it would be my favourite of the year. Grade A (+ deducted for the short joke tracks).
