SMASHING!!!thats the best way to describe this band; scandinavian melodic rock of the highest order...no kiddin'!. one listen to tracks like "unchain my heartbeat" or "angel" and you'll be hooked for life.it is that good believe me!!.i think this has become a rarity this days and i know for a fact that this guys released a full lengh album only available in japan so either way you'll end up paying big bucks for this but like i said it's really worth it,trust me on this one you'll be amazed!!!!. |

Hey Rob, Who do they sound like? I have a good source for dated Jap releases and may track down a copy, but am interested to hear who they're like? |
From: ROB GARCIA | Date: July 12, 2004 at 6:55 |
well TIM i find this one a bit difficult to describe as it is a bit of a mixed bag of scandi melodic rock but i'll try.....keyboards remind me of the great skagarack;vocals sound not too far from per henricksen(fate singer on scratch n sniff);soundwise they're in the same league of bands like:talk of the town, dalton, glory & treat.trust me on this one tim!get it cause you'll definetely like this one. |

Thanks ROB, I love all those bands you mentioned so will have to track it down. Will be selling my right arm on eBay before I can afford a copy, but will post back when I get one... |

Managed to get a cd-r of the S/T album (which contains these tracks) and heavily accented vocals aside, this reminds me of Dalton. The E.P tracks are definitely the best from the album, with "Limelight" being truly killer and "Unchain My Heartbeat" being excellent powerhouse melodic rock. Too many acoustic numbers ruin the S/T album a little, as does production quality, but this is really decent stuff. Beware the big eBay price though, as it's not close to Treat, Skagarack etc. |

DEAR GUYS,THIS MAYBE THE GREATEST SCANDI HARD ROCK/AOR BAND EVER HEARD BEFORE.I HAVE THIS MINI CD AND THE FIRST 4 TRACKS ARE RE-ARRANGED IN THEIR ONLY FULL LENGH CD"S.T."BUT I LIKE MAYBE SOUNDS IN THIS ONE..I THINK THE LAST TRACK(THE ONLY INHEDIT)IS A COVER,SO FAR FROM STORMWING'S STYLE....YOU MUST HAVE THE"S.T."CD,I THINK THE FINLAND MUST BE PROUD TO HAD A BAND AS STORMWING..... |
