If you notice that a particular Sammy Hagar CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. This cd is in the Melodic Rock Category and god knows why it is. It's just a lay back in the studio cd with a few guitars with a country sound. And I must say it is a cool cd has some great songs on it. Was really shocked to hear his verson of I Love This Bar a Toby Keith song which sammy does his own way. Took me a few times to get used to this cd but its a good one to have in the collection. Good thing Sammy is doing something cause Van Halen sure isn't. |

I Don't like country, and I certainly don't like this!! Hagar betrayed us!! Total crap! |

I think Sammy is getting a little too into his chilled out and laid back Cabo Wabo lifestyle and who can blame him? I'd love it too - but this doesn't really work unless you're on the beach chilling out with a tequila or two and watching the sun go down. I had a couple of bottles of wine with a friend who spun it a couple of times on a warm(ish) Autumn evening and I enjoyed it.. enough to buy it though?? There is no evidence of the Red Rocker here but in the right setting it can hit home. |

I couldn't agree with Nick C more. This isn't the Red Rocker of the 80's or 90's, but that isn't a bad thing. This disc is all about relaxing and enjoying life. My wife and I went to Cabo for his birthday celebration this year and this disc was the soundtrack for the vacation. If you're expecting to hear songs in the vein of I Can't Drive 55, this isn't the disc for you. Though if you're just hanging out and drinking a margarita, this should be right up your alley. Enjoy with a Cabo Wabo... |

I dig this CD, definitely more chilled out than Sammy's other stuff, but still great. Kinda like Hagar meets Buffet. |

I bought this for $1 at a pawn shop. Am a big Hagar fan but would not pay full price for this one. "Hagar meets Buffet" is a good analogy. |

This album is basically a commercial for Sammy's beach-bum, tequila-drinking lifestyle, not to mention the tequila itself. Hell, Sammy even talks with half of a Mexican accent these days. But he warned us ahead of time, saying he wasn't angry anymore and didn't want to do a metal record 9and his definition of "metal" is likely somewhat outmoded, despite his professed love of Tool), and that Livin' It Up would be more "Amerian country-rock." And so it is. I'll take Ten Thirteen instead, thank you very much. |
