For me it's one of the best last year's release. If you like , aor , similiar in places to BLVD or RENEGADE (canada), with a lot of keys, you will like this one. 8/10 |

This is very polished AOR but it's just a bit too cheesy and slick for my tastes. It still has some very catchy moments but doesn't quite reach the heights IMHO. |

Great act on a great label (Escape !) ! This is by no means hardrock, but subtle light AOR ! And it's, just like their first album (which you should check out pronto), first class stuff. Maybe a bit soft for some, but just not poppy enough to call it pop ! After all, in this band there are ex-members from the mighty canadian Boulevard, and we all know what a brilliant band that was. First Shot is not from the same high level as Boulevard, but damned fine, and better than most current releases ! |

Cd recomendado! |

The songs are varied, which helps embellish the interest factor. The opener 'Dealer Of Love' is a fantastic tune. 'Skin Deep' has the same sort of sound as heard on the latest Body Electric release, while the ballad 'Somewhere In Time' is probably best described as a working mans' version of I-Ten. 'All Through The Night' is very keyboard dominated, some rough 'n' tough guitar lines in there too. I'm quite impressed to be honest. Without doubt, this is a far superior release. |

Love this band. Liked their first release. They topped it even with their second release. Real feel good AOR. The voice suits the music perfectly. So mucht better then most current releases yes. Good songwriting, catchy chorusses, and nice variety in the songs also. Get it ! erikhardam@hetnet.nl |

Rik, you have taste, man ! This is a great new band (how could they go wrong with some ex-Boulevard guys in the band ? !), just as Final Frontier is ! I'm happy there are still people with good taste (heard Great Dane !) here ! |

As with 'From The Hip', another Vaults release. Very much the same comments as for that one, although i will add that i prefer a few more of the tracks on this one. Definately a case of cherry picking the best tracks from both and putting them on one compilation. |

More or less in the same line as "From The Hip"..very good Pop/AOR tracks is what we have in here!..."Dealer Of Love" opens the album being a very good song,"Skin Deep" is definetely a highlight,"All Through The Night" is a catchy one,"I Can't Get Over You" apart from nice,is another highlight song, the same goes to "Girl Like You","It Must Be Magic" is another catchy one and "The More Things Change" is my personal fave,it has a great catchy chorus!(there's a hidden track at the end of this one that also is a pretty good song)...both albums of the band are really worth to have if you are into the poppier side of AOR...87/100 |
