If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Saxon CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Saxon are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

I think what our overseas friend is trying to say is that Unleash The Beast is a kick ass album. Not that I can speak HIS language, but I DO speak the 'music language.' If you don't have Unleash The Beast, FIND IT, BUY IT, PLAY IT!!!! AND PLAY IT FUCKIN' LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From: Metal T Date: March 8, 2004 at 20:23
Yep,this is freaking 'Heavy Metal' & these guys know how to play it.Saxon' really turned it up a notch on Beast' !---This band could teach most bands out there a lesson in what Metal really is . ---Crank It !

From: Scott Date: March 10, 2004 at 14:22
AMEN to that! Preach it metal brother! SAXON rules!

From: Rycheage Date: May 16, 2004 at 16:32
Still going strong after that many years, the boys that gave us 'Denim and Leather' still pump out the CD's. But rather than the dated sound you would expect, Saxon sound quite polished. The tracks have an all round depth, good lead breaks, raunchy chord work, strong melodies, many variations and it's heavy enough without being thrashy.

This is awesome! Some of Saxons best work on here. Go and see them live the power is incredible.

My favorite Saxon album of the 90's. Solid metal from start to finish. If you don't own it seek it out at all cost!

From: hair metal again Date: April 7, 2011 at 2:58
very good release once again by this great band.this is heavy, hard rockin, guitarish ,powerful and full of hooks music.all the songs are remarkable ,but my favs are 'absent friends','the thin red line','bloodletter' and 'ministry of fools'.essential

From: rick kerch vzla Date: August 24, 2013 at 21:50
Yeah guys this album is dope!!!...a good mix of HM and Hard Rock with a touch of an AORish feel at least in the song 'Ministry Of Fools'...some other powerful cuts are 2,4,5,8 & 11...the nice softy 'Absent Friends' gives the album a special atmosphere...Saxon is one of those bands that has hardly ever released something bad and has always stuck loyal to their fans even when playing 'radio friendly songs'...recommended...91/100
