Did all the Bon Jovi comments get wiped? Well, what a privilege to be the first, 2nd time about It must be said, that although I don't think they're their best CDs, I think the first 2 BJ discs are their most consistent. From start to finish, this is good solid hard rock. 'Only lonely', 'Hardest part is the night', 'To the fire' and the killer 'Secret dreams' are highlights, but all songs are good here. Great stuff.

Actually I would call this their best, solid songwriting from start to finish and full of great guitar sounds from Sambora. They had toured Japan before this album and it really influenced the sound. Although I like every song, To the Fire is my favorite. One of my top 20 CDs of all time.

In and Out of Love, Hardest Part is the Night, Always Run to You, To the Fire 6 cortes buenisimos

Agreed Dreamaholic, Bon Jovi's best CD and in my top 20 CD's of all time. There just is not a bad track on this one, and in and out of love is most likely the bands best song

'Silent night' is great

Boy this album never hooked me. No gems at all which doesn't happen again on a BJ album until 'Crush' 15 years later. Some good songs, some bad songs, a very forgettalbe release TBH and if BJ wasn't on vox I may totally hate this one. Best track here IMO is Tokyo Road and the only memorable one. Other decent tunes are the opener, even if they sound rediculous doing it today, Silent Night and Hardest Part Is the Night. The rest are B-Side material. 3.9/10 - totally unessential.

People surprise me here for not liking this cd much. melodic Rock fans this is one of the best. Blueprint classics that so many bands took from: Only Lonely, Hardest part of the night, Always Run to you, Silent Night, In and Out Of Love,Tokyo Road-come on. I listen to this one more often than anything after New Jersey. This is essential listening if you like melodic rock n roll!

Bon Jovi's ashamed of this album, according to Richie Sambora on Vh1 the other night, perhaps it's because making an album with 9 untouchable classics and 1 filler, might add a little unwanted stress on their newest contract signed for 1 top 20 hit and 11 fillers, hopefully theyll go on tour with def leppard, that way they can charge even more money for a ticket, I think that says alot about the bands character, New Jersey was their best, it fucken sucked, if you want Jovi, this is the cd to get

WOW!!! Another just over the top piece of AOR genius from the Jersey boys! Just magnificent from start to finish, as all and any signs of filler are completely wiped away. If ever there were any. Some of the lyrics are a little darker in places, but so was the band at the time. None the less you are delivered a world class album. 'Price Of Love', 'Only Lonely', and 'Hardest Part Of The Night' are just majestic. This one is essential for both fans and non fans alike!!!

Not bad but not one of their best. That honor goes to their first, Slippery When Wet, and New Jersey. Still recommended 7/10.

I actually love this album although it has been rated as their worst by critics. its cheesy, fun and trashy. that defines hair metal to me. needs to be fun.

Tracks 5,6 & 7 are classic BJ and worth the purchase price alone. Not a patch on the debut though or the 2 albums which would follow!

This is a true album, but still it doesn't make the grade. Some songs are simply ok, nothing special. Price of Love is reasonable. Parts of the album introduce us to the commercial pop that Bon Jovi would make on their later albums in the 1990s and 2000's.

They went harder on this second release but still going strong in melody and composition. They performed in the famous "Monster Of Rock" festival the year they released this effort along with names such as The Scorpions,Van Halen,Dokken among others."In And Out Of Love","Hardest Part Is The Night(the single of the album),"Price Of Love","Tokyo Road" are excellent songs.90/100

More difficult to get into than the first and half of it is filler. I only really like Tokyo Road, Silent Night and Hardest Part is The Night. The rest explains why Desmond Child came along for the next album.

THE 80'S ARE BON JOVI...Each and every release are awesome...growing from their 84' Self titled release..85' 7800 Fahrenheit...86' Slippery When Wet...& 88' New Jersey...Then slowly downhill...(although I love some of their 90's songs and a handful of the post 90's)..this period is the Bon Jovi to know and love

after their first atomic bomb, bon jovi had a very difficult challenge:make an excellent follow up to their first extraordinary eponymus record.they win ,cause they realise this exploit.one more time an irresistible hard f m album, plenty of hits and super songs who stay in your brain eternally.you can find on the exceptional "no rules" from hybrid ice a super version of "secret dreams".the japan reissue of 7800 ° ,in 1998,is essential cause on the second record whe have 6 tracks live whit a perfect sound!!!!!
