College rock at it's best. Fun lyrics and great stage show by this band of left over Southgang members. This cd was a little more radio friendly than the first cd with the big hit being Freak of the Week. The rest of the tunes aren't far behind though. Butch is an awesome musician with a great ear for hooks and melodies.

For me this is the Marvie's peak album. Just the right mix of power chords and attitude. Butch is an amazing songwriter and it all came together on this album. Great songs from start to finish.

This cd is alright. They were 10 times the band when they were known as Southgang. Hair Metal Rules! Metal 4 Life

ANOTHER GREAT CD FROM X- SOUTHGANGERS N FLOYD'S FUNK REVIVAL FEATURING MR. BUTCH WALKER

C'mon Koogs. Why are some artists allowed to have as many styles as they need, but with the hard rock genre nobody is allowed to change? We are all some intolerant bastards when it comes to this type of tunage. I LOVE both Southgang and everything else Butch has had a hand in. Because at the end of the day it all boils down to wheter or not the songs are there. And with M3, the songs are consistently there. Every Monday is the best song Butch has written with any band.

Has anyone noticed the disturbing similarity between "Vampires In Love" and your average Ramones tune? Particularly, the Ramones tune "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend". Anyway, I must say this is yet another triumph for Sir Walker and his merry men. Just an excellent album. EXCELLANT!!!! As for that Ramones comment; that speaks of good company!!

Top notch power pop. The songs are all great for the most part, and the band is at their tightest. Above all else, it's a fun album to listen to. Isn't that what really matters?

This album came in second when I listened to both it and RSG. However, after repeated listens, I think this one has edged ahead. Butch Walker is a master song writer, but a quintessential lyricist. He pens songs that weave images in your mind more vivid than most. And, while he often has dark ideas in his songs, he writes with a tongue-in-cheek attitude that always shows some sort of witicism, if not a down right cynical sense of humor. Just a fantastic album!

Now this is where the band / Butch developed their sound. An awesome album here. 'Freak of the week' is genius - a huge commercial rocker, 'No 27' is another fave and 'Vampires in love' is a gem of a track. Either way, this is a lot more consistent than the debut and the songs are much better. Brilliant lyrics / songwriting from Butch and this gets a big thumbs up.

It's an OK disc that I liked the least of the M3 albums. Its transitioning between the Math And Other Problems sound and the sound of the masterpiece Ready Sex Go. Freak Of The Week is the obvious highlight and the biggest hit. You're So Yesterday is the second best song on there, and much of the album is pleasant and fun but not particularly memorable.

From: MrAOR Date: July 7, 2007 at 18:37
I can remember the first time I heard "Freak of The Week." Especially the bridge "tell me I sold out...tell me I sold out, go ahead..." oh man...! I saw them at a small club in San Diego (Casbah) and I knew I was in for some great rawkin when he warmed up with the opening chords to "Shout At The Devil." I didn't even know about his hair band connections (I had both Southgang albums, but hadn't connected the two). That night transformed me into a fan for life. Next day I went and bought the CD an

Every Monday is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. The rest of the album is equally full of sweet, sugary hooks. There isn't a song on this album that won't get stuck in your head for days.
