If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Nazareth CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Nazareth are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

If ever two years between releases helped, it was with this 1986 output from Nazareth. Never a band to squander it's time, the lengthy hiatus from recording may have seemed an eternity for fans but undoubtedly invigorated the band & prooved to be worth every waiting second. The results were staggering on Cinema. Not since 2XS had the boyz rocked as hard or sounded like Naz of old in their prime of the mid 70's. Noteably, McCafferty was again in top form vocally. Aggressive & raspy as ever, along with Charlton's mammoth riffs, the band were true to standards & delivered if not their best, certainly one of their top albums of the 80's. The continuity is fluid & torrid.

Yet at the breakneck pace it welds, one could wonder just how these veterans of rock were able to capture lightning in a bottle at this point in their career. Whatever the magic, Nazareth were hitting on all cylinders. As for the tracks themselves, all the songs are winners. In fact, to pick a favorite may diminish the album as a whole but if need be "Salty Salty", "White Boy", & "Hit the Fan" would easily qualify as Naz classics.
