| For maximum enjoyment of this album, you ought to be an established fan of both Boulevard and Steve Newman, because while the voice of David Forbes may be front and center, the production is very much Newman. This is melodic rock with a few bursts of AOR, occasionally upbeat but overwhelmingly moody. The songs are predominantly mid-tempo tracks with decent songwriting, but the CD's second half becomes preoccupied with creating an atmosphere at the expense of memorable choruses. I'm more of a fan of the sweeter pop rockers like "Fall for Love" and "Endless Nights" but there's also something to be said for the emotional outro "Freedom." I'm not overly wowed, but check this out if the names speak to you.
