| I like Pat Benatar and Heart. If you like them, you'll like this indy effort. The guitar-driven nature of this project adds some balls to the equation. The vocals are good and strong, although Meleisa can sound a little shrill at the extreme top end of her range. The instrumental work is quite tight, you can tell the guitarist just wants to let loose! The song selection is varied, from rockers to ballads. My favorites happen to be the ballads; Come Take My Heart is probably the best track on the album. Amongst the rockers, Can't Stop This Feeling is definitely single material. This group definitely has potential; the keyboards make an appearance on a couple of tracks...use 'em more! They help flesh out the mix, which at times seems a bit sparse. Also the very style of the music would lend itself to richly layered vocal harmonies. From a songwriting/structural standpoint, I think everything is right there! Now, if only John Kalodner or Keith Olsen would take notice... Rating: 78/100

| Very weak production and poor songs. Cd isn`t worth even a buck, better buy pack of matches.

| A good rock album, but the production needs work. The high pitches of Melesia's vocals need to be dropped by 20 decibels or so, because it hurts my ears. Listen to "Wild" and you'll understand what I'm talking about. The DeAllen debut had the potential to be in the league of Laos & Doro, but the vocals just plain can't be tolerated.

| A follow up to my comments. I have a 9 channel graphic equalizer on my stereo, and if you want to reduce the sharpness of Melesia's voice, drop the high end (top 3 channels) by about 1 to 3 points (depends on your preference), boost the bass by 1 point, and leave the rest equal. On a regular boombox, reduce the treble, or boost the bass. This is the only way I can enjoy this album without my ears hurting.

| I'm a sucker for female fronted rock. That said, I went into this expecting nothing and got something in return. Yeah, it does sound kinda like that band you hear at a party and think, "man these guys are great. How the hell are they not signed?" Well, this is THAT band. The songs are good enough as are all the players with extra props to Nick on guitar. Solid all the way around.
