ok guys..i'm FLOORED!! NOONE has rated or commented on this awesome release. These guys really know how to rock. They remind me of a cross between poison and Jackyl. You HAVE to try this band! Songs to check out: Faster, Joyride (GREAT BALLAD), Money On The Liquor, raising hell & living sin and Stupid=Famous

This is a pretty enjoyable disc. They remind me a bit of Bombay Black (MIA - where the hell are they?). I hear the same type of self-aware, winking take on sleaze rock in songs like "Stupid = Famous." I do hear a bit of Jackyl here, but American Bombshell don't come off as particularly southern, which has become an increasingly dominant part of Jackyl's sound now that Jesse fancies himself as hard rock's Jeff Foxworthy (complete with outdated punchlines). Also, they do the same bastard/bitchscratch my itch lyircs from "Just like A Devil" here in "Degenerate Love Song." "Pretty Fucked Up" is a cover of the too-cool Gen-X kid's favorite rock 'n' roll band, the Supersuckers. Vocals are melodic, but not cloying like the Swedish AOR crowd can so often be. Production is great, but in today's world, there's no excuse to have badd sound except on purpose. I liked this enough where I think I need to track down theier debut.
