| Beyond doubt, the AOR highlight of 2017. "Forever Gone" will go down as a melodic rock classic. Incredible vocals and production, and infectious as all get-out.

| Raintimes...what can I say here about this album? This album is that good. Raintimes is certainly the missing child of the notorious "The Storm" (which anyone who is an AOR/Melodic Rock fan knows who they are). While we may never see 'The Storm' come back...it is all forgiven with this new band 'Raintimes'. It practically and almost perfect... Production is beautiful, the vocals and harmonies crafted well, music is melodically and harmonically balanced for pure enjoyment and the album darn nears takes you on this 'feel-good' emotionally ride back to those moments where those two Storms album gave everyone that AOR/Melodic high. The only drawn back on this album, is I think there is a bit of unbalanced songs here...ballads vs rockers vs mid-tempo songs. It could be me personally in how the tracks are arranged, but other than that...a definite record to pick up. HIGHLIGHT TRACKS: #1,2,4,6,8,9,10,11. MY RATING: 94/100.

| Really classy stuff. Slick songwriting and production courtesy of the guys from Charming Grace/Shining Line and Michael Shotton's passionate, unique vocal delivery make this a very enjoyable album. Favorite tracks: "Make My Day," "Don't Ever Give Up," "Together As Friends," "I See The Light"

| Shotton has been in the singer witness protection program since Von Groove parted ways, as he has played drums for a few projects but hasn't put his vocals on anything besides the excellent Shining Line (2010) compilation. Good to hear him back in the lead singer saddle, as his voice sounds in great shape. This is AOR territory with a few harder edge tracks like "Dont Ever Give Up". The second half of the album loses a bit of momentum (generic) but it's a enjoyable listen and makes me hark for a Von Groove reunion.( 99 in the Shade II)
