| What's it like you ask? Well it's like the last 2 0R 3 Dare CD's isn't it. Seriously! no change whatsoever here, Celtic inspired very light AOR, which is very pleasant, well played & recorded, but hardly makes you want to jump around the house with your tennis racket & shows that the band haven't progressed even in the slightest to give us something a little different along the way. The first 6 tracks only feature 3 new songs, the others being 2 reworkings from 'Out Of Silence' (do we really need them? NO!) which are even more laid back than the originals (& definitely no better) & a cover of the Thin Lizzy classic 'Emerald', which admittedly is nice. The second half features 5 new songs + a rather nifty cover of Cheap Trick's 'The Flame' which they have done with some style and is one of the highlights of this album, although in no way better than Zander & Co.'s classic version. The rest is of a similar nature & as before, is all well done without getting the pulse racing too much.

| ...So, a 5 year wait for 8 new songs that sound the same as the 10 off the last album and the 11 before that. Not great value for money in my book, even though it has been done very well. I cannot say that I am disappointed with this album as it is exactly what I was expecting to be honest, frustrated maybe a better word.

| very similar to his previous effort i'd say, repetitive or not i like this album. "Remember" and "The Flame" are my favorites, great cover an not better than the original but quite good anyway. Very good if you love his previos efforts. Cheers Darren! 8.8/10

| A magnificent album but I can't disagreed with the comments above. Darren knows what he does well and sticks to it. The Flame is a good version, but probably doesn't add much to the original. 9.5/10 for me!

| This is incredibly soft, but quite enjoyable in places. After the first track, which I found quite weak, 'Shelter In The Storm' is very good and tracks 3-5 are nice. I found the cover of Thin Lizzy's 'Emerald' to be an absolute travesty. Basically, they've done a really soft version of this great song and made it utterly bland. 'Remember' is a pretty awful song, again extremely soft, but this time nothing happens and I really dislike it. Standout track for me is 'When' - a classic in the making, great song.

Mellow and soft album but still pretty enjoyable if u like peaceful moments in music...as for me goes,i really liked it but of course i missed the good old strong AOR numbers and rocky tunes...anyway Darren still has a powerful and soulful voice and the rest of the musicians do a nice job too!..."Dublin" is a smoothie goodie,"Shelter In The Storm" is a highlight,"King Of Spades" & "I Will Return" are precious remakes,more lay back versions of course,"When" is another highlight,"The Flame" is a cover from originally done by Cheap Trick,this version is just fine,smoothier...the last 4 songs are my fave ones...a very relaxed album,do not expect anything like Out Of The Silence and Blood From Stone except from the ballads..90/100

| After five years of waiting for another studio production from this genius (Darren). It was worth waiting. I tell you. Down the same line as previous releases. And thank God for that! No compromises, what so ever. Hang in there guys. I'll follow you through thick and thin.
