How can you rate an album, when Jon Bon Jovi is singing lead vocals on 'You're Not My Lover (But You Were Last Night)'.An absolute classic!!

From: Scandinavia Date: July 28, 2003 at 5:12
Pretty good album...A better production could've served these guys well though...Typical scandinavian sounding style. Pretty outstanding with the Child/Jovi/Sambora composition: 'You're not my Lover' Great track! 'We're into Rock' & 'Caroline' makes it all worthwhile too...Driving keyboards & guitars, decent Vocals....8/10

From: Scandinavia Date: December 21, 2003 at 10:31
Just checked the Ebay average...Man, it's a good album but hardly more than mediocre...Not worth 75 US Dollars...

From: aorquest Date: February 9, 2004 at 21:38
Very solid album. Full of anthem rockers. The vocalist is really great. Stand out tracks are 1,3, and 5. Track five sounds like a song bon jovi would do back his days. Not even worth a ten rating....more like a twelve!!!! Good piece of work guys. Rock on!

From: Dreamhunter Date: February 16, 2004 at 19:44
The best words to describe this record are ' a weaker version of Treat's Dreamhunter' ... I recommend it to the Scandi fans only .. NOT BAD AT ALL .. but not a Killer ..

Yes. I got it in the mail today. Two days ago I received the second Dalton CD.All together I ordered Dalton-Race Is On,Dalton-Ijection, Journey-Frontiers and Asia-Asia. All delivered with no problems.I got a mail saying that it was out of stock as well, but three days after that mail, it arrived. A buddy of mine received Race is On today as well.Im not sure, but I think the Danish part of the site gets the swedish cd´s from Sweden and mail it when it arrives. Its NOT a reissue, this is original.

Much better than the follow up album (but thats my own opinion). Its a classic example of the Swedish AOR in action. If you are looking for that album please e-mail at wildangelfree69@hotmail.com

You're Not My Lover (But You Were Last Night) Is a cover of a track I have on a cd by Witness. Does anyone know of any other bands covering this great tune.?? Its written by Child/Jovi/Sambora

From: Da Vinci Date: June 5, 2004 at 20:57
Hey !! Does anybody know if both Dalton CDs were reprinted/re-issued recently ? A few months ago they were one of the rarest items around then suddenly they're everywhere (ebay, aorheaven, musicbuymail, cdon) .. and the price went from US$ 100 to US$ 9 ..thank you

From: T-Bone Date: June 19, 2004 at 6:44
I'm glad I bought the re-release because I'd be kicking myself if I paid anything more than $15 for this. The musicianship was good, but the songs themselves didn't impress me much at all. 5/10

From: Scandinavia Date: June 19, 2004 at 7:29
I hear you...I felt the same way when I finally got mine, but a couple of weeks ago I put it on again and was very surprised by the quality of the material...I suggest you give it another spin...It grows on you...

From: T-Bone Date: June 19, 2004 at 9:50
I've already been trying that for a week now. Nothing has changed. It's decent for a $15 CD, but I have no idea why anyone would ever spend as much as I've heard this go for.

From: Nanteau Date: June 19, 2004 at 15:59
Me too thinks their CDs are not as good as they were supposed to be according to the high prices. Both CDs are solid melo-rock but a bit too 'yobbo-istic'. They play style harder treat ('Organized crime') and Bai bang ('Cop to con'). At best 7,9 out of 10 ! Better listen to McAuley Schenker Group, Def Lepard, Loverboy, Survivor --and of course: EUROPE

From: Date: June 27, 2004 at 10:04
BOTH ALBUMS FROM THIS BAND WAS REISSUEID AND SELLED TO E-BAY.FOR THEM WHO WANTS TO KNOW.

OTRA JOYA SUPREMA DEL AOR ESCANDINAVO Y DEL AOR EN GENERAL AL IGUAL QUE SU SIGUIENTE ALBUM SON 2 LEGADOS PARA LA HUMANIDAD, LOS GRUPOS ACTUALES DEVERIAN POSTRARSE DE RODILLAS Y RENDIRLES TRIBUTO, COMO FUERON LOS 80 CARAJO, EPOCA QUE JAMAS VOLVERA PERO ALBUMS COMO ESTOS HACEN QUE LOS 80 SE CONVIERTA MAS Y MAS EN LA DECADA MAS GRANDE DE LA HUMANIDAD Y EN LA DECADA MAS LEGENDARIA QUE TENDRA TODO EL UNIVERSO AMEN. DE CANCIONES ME QUEDO CON TODAS , MUSICA PARA LOS DIOSES CON ESO LO DIGO TODO

From: MelodicBoy Date: November 12, 2004 at 21:20
I am certain these have been re-issued, as NEH records in the US has them for around 15 bucks. So don't pay the huge amounts listed as Ebay average price. Personally, I think 'Injection' is quite a bit better than this one, although it's not bad. Have to say, Witness does YOU'RE NOT MY LOVER much more impressively than the version on this disc. Maybe I'm biased because I heard the Witness version first, but it rocks.

From: Date: November 30, 2004 at 6:19
I have bought it today for 15€. It sounds pretty good

From: Jonny_B Date: January 28, 2005 at 11:38
Even for Swedish standards, Dalton's debut isn't all that great. Average vocals, semi-processed drums, and sub-par songwriting. And the best track 'You're Not My Lover' isn't as good as Witness' version (I agree with you MelodicBoy.) Recommended only to those who absolutely have to have everything scandi-AOR.

From: z4roxx Date: January 28, 2005 at 12:17
Not totally agree.Yes,production is not at the top,is much raw than the other one('injection'is great,IMO)but you must hear this cd more times to appreciate it.It's more'hard'than the second but I like it.Dalton was a great scandi-band IMO,and R.A.W.a great demonstration how scandi 80's aor can be rennoved,IMO.

From: Kim HP Date: January 28, 2005 at 12:28
I agree with Jonny_B: this is overrated. And the same goes for their second release, in my opinion. On this album only 'Caroline' and 'You're Not My Lover' stick out as highlights. Most of the other songs aren't bad, but certainly nothing special. 7 out of 10, at best.

From: z4roxx Date: January 28, 2005 at 12:45
That's are tastes men!I think you don't like so much scandi-aor,maybe they didn't have the arrangments/production of Glory(first 2 cd's)or Renagade(debut)but...I like very much their cd?Did you ever heard the second band of Lindmark brothers R.A.W.??I think you'll can change your opinions,IMO?I can recommend you STORMWING,so you can really appreciate a great stuff in producions and arrangments(and great musicians, too)

This is not overrated. This is a quality stuff from a quality band. Great scandi aor. Period.

From: kipjuanjo Date: February 18, 2005 at 12:12
9/10 this is my rate for this great album, as good as the best Europe, and inmy opinion the songs are greater than any treat song. Thanks for these high quality tunes, o coplas como diría en español :-)

From: Kim HP Date: February 18, 2005 at 13:10
I'm sorry, but Treat were a much better band than these guys. Just my opinion.

From: Geoff Date: March 2, 2005 at 5:45
This disc is essentail for all Scandi melodic rock fans, IMO. 'Caroline' is a great melodic hard rock opener, 'Losing My Mind' is awesome melodic rock too, 'You're Not My Lover (But You Were Last Night)' is good fun, 'We're Into Rock' is beyond lame but still enjoyable (signs of a great band), 'I Think About You' is 100% AOR and actually very nice, and 'I'm On the Run' is a killer typical Scandi melodic rocker. Awesome debut, and a great band... for fans of Treat.

From: BCASARIN(MEX) Date: March 13, 2005 at 20:37

From: rocknroll Date: April 17, 2005 at 18:32
A Typical 80's hard-rock album, nice melodic guitars, voice from this swedish band. 'We're into rock' it's the high tune for me. This album it's better than the other one Injection

From: Melodiker Date: August 10, 2006 at 18:44

From: lalorock Date: November 19, 2006 at 16:37
Gran disco a mi parecer, temas con fuerza, melodías increibles y unos coros matadores,Caroline, No reason, Loving you excelente power ballad, teclados maravillosos y solos de guitarras impresionantes, disco recomendado para los que les guste TREAT, FATE y similares bandas escandinavas, You´re not my lover... party metal a tope,I´m on the run aor puro:teclados, feeling y como dije melodía y energía, disco obligado para todo amante del hard rock aor. 8.5/10.

From: sanxdowntherainbow Date: January 10, 2007 at 0:53
not that great. Dont like scandi-AOR at all, actually its my least favorite. AMERICAN/CANADIAN/BRIT AOR are the sacred trilogy. NOT scandi!!

From: sanxdowntherainbow Date: January 10, 2007 at 0:55
Nice keyboards and guitar work, but when things are getting started to sound cool, the stupid fuckin singer just fuck things up!

From: Pudelrockarn Date: March 4, 2007 at 10:29
Not as good as Injection but a great debut for this Swedish band. Highlights are Caroline, You're not my lover (But you were last night) and We're into rock. 8 out of 10.

From: YIRO SEVENTH Date: June 19, 2007 at 19:05
MAGNIFICO HARD AOR ESCANDINAVO!!! Mis favoritas son: 'Caroline' que es perfecta para abrir el álbum y la mega ritmica 'You Are Not My Lover(But You Were Last Night)... SUPER RECOMENDADO

From: TONI MALLORCA Date: July 4, 2007 at 16:36
bueno, bueno, no esta mal pero tengo que reconocer que los mejores temas estan al final, concretamente a partir de 'were into rock' la balada 'loving you' me decepciona un poco en cambio 'i think about you' es lo mas melodico y lo mejorcito del album. no es un mal disco pero me gustan mas los treat, alien o los talk of the town en este estilo

From: Aor/HardRock Date: October 12, 2007 at 15:21

From: Aor/HardRock Date: October 12, 2007 at 15:24

From: hernanHRM/AOR Date: October 28, 2007 at 13:23

From: YIRO SEVENTH Date: October 30, 2007 at 21:34

From: Zoner Date: June 26, 2008 at 12:42
You're not my lover (But you were last night) is worth the price alone. This song will stuck in your head after one listen.

From: KurtmanJP Date: October 20, 2008 at 21:14
My personal favorite song is "I Think About You". I find myself hooked on it more than the other songs. "Losing My Mind" is my 2nd fave song. I love the keys on "No Reason" but the chorus doesn't do much for me. Their version of the Witness song is very good but I kinda like Witness' version better. The rest is good, not great. Glory (Danger In This Game) is better IMO.

From: metalhead4life Date: June 11, 2009 at 10:07
Catchy, melodic, poppy hair band from the best era - 1980's. Bon Jovi helped write track 5 and you can sure tell. Very catchy, radio friendly song. Whole CD is pretty good but tracks that stand out for me are 1-5, and 8. "Loving You" is a nice ballad that reeks of 80's feel. 82/100 - would maybe be a little higher if the guitar player was a little better. He's not bad but not on the top tier either; does get the job done though.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 22, 2010 at 15:43
Excellent debut album by another excellent Sweedish band (oh my God Sweeden is a power nation when it comes to melodic rock/aor bands)...love the sound and beat of the songs "Caroline","No Reason","I Think About You",and "I'm On The Run"(which are the best tracks at least 4 me)..a band that only recorded 2 albums both of great quality.87/100
