PROGESSIVE BUT MELODIC TOO. A GREAT RELEASE. WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS ONE.

This is one of the great AOR/hard rock albums of all time. Right up there with Harem Scarem "Mood Swings". This band does everything Journey does, but better. Great memorable melodies which come back to me throughout the day. Strong vocals plus guitar breaks which would make impress Schenker. Some of the slow songs remind me of The Babys ballads. Do yourself a favor and get the Jap import with the bonus song. Cheers.

This debut is different from their succeeding album. But overall a really good album. A++++++

Tony Ritchie on vocals is the best to Balance Of Power. He needs to come back on vocals! United State of Mind is nice but Tony Ritchie is much better in Balance of Power (on the vocals).

Que buen Melodic Hard Rock, despidiendo los 90's aqui balance Of power nos deja tremenda obra temas melodicos muy parejos casi todos pero nada como "Summer's Over" Y "Cant Loose The Book" unos sonidos bestiales lo mejorsito del Dizco..

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: October 13, 2007 at 2:57
GOOD CD 80/100 melodic metal/BRITISH AOR /° the next ALBUMS will be HEAVIER and better ! GOOD ANYWAY you can find singer TONY RICHIE in USM "silver step child" WHICH is similar to this one OR as a bass player with....BALANCE OF POWER

From: Rycheage Date: October 13, 2007 at 11:19
Not a bad album but they really don't hit their stride until Lance King joins the mix. Not that Tony Ritchie is bad but Lance just took them to that next level.
