You might have women in Rock, but this is just the babe of them all, and she proves on this release that she is more than a pretty face. THis release is great.

Still can't figure out why Lee Aaron wasn't as big as Pat Benatar.

I've like something about every release she has done, but this little beauty absolutely is the best CD she has done By a long way. Brilliant

Took a step back from the leather and metal for this AMAZING AOR CD. Easily her best, and perhaps the best AOR CD recorded by any female act ever. Essential.

From: music man Date: January 13, 2002 at 7:16
Some great songs from this underrated female rocker on this one, but I think she hit the top of her game with "Bodyrock".

Identico al anterior, por lo tanto BUEN DISCO.

From: good old Don Date: August 23, 2002 at 11:44
"Only Human" is a wonderful tune in many respects; the lyrics are the stuff of anthems, the production values are full and convincing, vocally and instrumentally... What can I say, Lee should be VERY proud of tunes like this!

From: Melodiker Date: December 28, 2002 at 15:45
I think this is the greatest Album from Lee.I hear it again and again. All Songs are fantastic, but my favourites are: Powerline,Only Human,If This Is Love and Dream With Me ! I`am a lover of Ballads !

From: Great Dane Date: December 31, 2002 at 7:58
I just bought a cd which was released back in 1992. Its by a female singer called TC.Kross. Its stylewice very close to Lee Aaron/Lita Ford. Does anyone know anything about this artist.??? THe cd is called On The Edge.

From: Scandi Date: September 5, 2003 at 17:13
I L O V E ballads too !! I think I have to hurry and buy this CD... I heard IF THIS IS LOVE in aordreamzones in it's quite good!

From: Scandi Date: September 5, 2003 at 17:15
Skip "I heard" and set "Listened to" --It's a typically German mistake..

From: Scandi Date: December 18, 2003 at 18:16
yes.. Now I got the CD inside my player but must confess that I'm not as impressed as I'm expected.. The two outstanding songs here are POWERLINE and THIS IS LOVE.. well, ONLY HUMAN is nearly as good, HEARTBEAT OF THE WORLD is not the worst and Lee as well as her songwriter could have done much more out of DREAM WITH ME but the always repeating drumsequences are very stupid I think.. oh yes, and the rest is too hard for my taste, sounds almost like Lita Ford but with a soft spot for plasticpop.

Not bad, not bad at all! But if you seek for THE Lee Aaron album, well, that is BODYROCK (1989). Trust me on this!

From: Brad Date: October 16, 2004 at 13:58
Lee is and always will be one of my favorite singers of all time. This cd has to be one of her best, well produced and great vocals on it. I am still huge fan even though she is recording jazz now, from Metal Queen to the Jazz Queen, my hats off to you Lee your the best!!

From: Matt Date: April 7, 2005 at 22:14
I was in a music store(back in 1987)in the metal section when I saw this cd. I had never heard of Lee Aaron before. I thought I would give her a try. Wow! I was blown away. What a great cd. I haven't heard any of her other music except a song done with Helix; Look Me Staight In The Heart, I think. That one is a pretty good tune. Anyway this cd is highly recommended. Lee Rocks!

This is an absolute pearler of a disc and Lee Aaron's best album, although i like alot of her other stuff aswell, especially 'Body Rock' and 'Call Of The Wild'. Quality of songs on this disc are extremely high, with my favourites being 'Powerline' the excellent ballad 'Only Human' followed very closely with 'Hands Are Tied', 'Goin' Off The Deep End', 'Eye For An Eye' & 'Heartbeat Of The World'. Along with the Chrissy Steele & Darby Mills albums my all time fave Canuck Chic disc!!

Great AOR album from Canadian Queen of Rock, De lo mejor de esta hermosa mujer una de las reinas del Rock, un album completo con grandes cortes de los cuales me quedo con Empty Heart por tener un gusto Incomparable, este es uno de esos discos Imprescindibles en toda coleccion de un amante del AOR, larga vida a esos Magicos 80 que siempre vivira en nuestro corazon y alma que jamas sera igualada y musica como esta hacen recordar esa epoca de Sueños y Magia INCOMPARABLE.

Excellent album, very 80's, has dated but still worth dragging out and playing every so often. Diff to her others in a good way

From: metalhead4life Date: January 9, 2007 at 15:27
Good disc! Maybe a little better than the previous "Call Of The Wild" as that one missed the spot on a few songs but is still good. This one is more commercial which is not a bad thing. Good rock in the vein of late 80's commercial rock. The riff in "Powerline" reminds me of Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name". You'll know it when you hear it. Joe Lynn Turner helped write some songs which is a good thing.7/10

From: Melo Date: April 10, 2007 at 7:54
Melodic Herz, was will man mehr ? Absoluter klassiker in meinen Augen (Ohren) 9,5\10

From: 123charpenay Date: May 1, 2009 at 18:03
top class aor album

From: elljam Date: July 15, 2012 at 10:31
"Powerline", "Hands are tied", & "Eye for an eye" are all good commercial hard rock tracks but the rest of the album is very cliched 80's AOR with very little inspiration. The follow up album "Bodyrock" is much stronger with far less filler.

From: AORSoundtracks Date: October 14, 2012 at 1:09
"Empty Heart" is my favorite song. Awesome keyboards !!!

From: hair metal again Date: July 11, 2013 at 1:33
excellent release by LEE AARON back in 87 but unfortunately 1 or 2 years again late like almost all her next ones!all the songs are catchy ,the musicianship amazing(John Albani is a great guitar player) and the sound polished and commercial!"powerline","hands are tied","almost human" and "if this is love" are the highlights of this essential release!LEE AARON surely deserved more

From: 123charpenay Date: October 8, 2015 at 11:17
when lee aaron plays a o r ,the result is excellent.very great songs with the beautiful voice of miss aaron.pleasure guaranted for all fans of female s fronted a o r.

From: Dx7 Date: October 26, 2021 at 12:24
Lee Aaron here manages to mix Heart, Pat Benatar, the canuck sound and a lot of vocal grit. Magniloquent keyboards counterbalance the constant presence of John Albani on guitars. Joe Lynn Turner wroted 3 songs and David Roberts on the choirs.
