Like Pandoras Box, this was a CD of material initially written for Meat Loaf, but ended up being recorded by another Steinman project, only to have Meat record some of the songs years later. (I believe this album was initially written as the follow up to Bat out of hell, but was shelved because of Meats vocal problems) As you would expect, this sounds exactly like a Meat Loaf album, but loses a few points because the vocals are not as good. Any fan of Meat Loaf should own this, as the sound is identical, unsurprisingly. |

I really like this CD. Yes the vocals are a bit weaker than Meat Loaf but I prefer the version of 'Surfs Up' to the one on Meat Loafs 'Bad Attitude' album. |

Wow....such a classic...i remmember buying this on vinyl when it came out..the limited edition brought a 45rpm with the song "Rock & Roll Dreams Come Through" which is a fantastic song and the epic instrumental one "The Storm"..another killer tracks are "Bad For Good","Lost Boys & Golden Girls","Out Of The Frying Pan(And Into The Fire)","Dance In My Pants"..basically this album is essential in any rock collector's room...the "brain" behind Meat Loaf and others musicians deserve it...95/100 |
