This is a cd that is very infectious. The songs are very simple but full of spirit. The vocal melodies are very memorable. Mike Tramp shows how soulfull he is on Mr. death and even plays a mean harmonica! Endless highway could be a Bon Jovi song but has more soul with mikes voice. Don't take my rock n roll is basically about sticking to your guns but has very catchy groove. My favorite has to be if it aint gonna rock. If you're into thin lizzy, UFO, Steppenwolf or any of those great 70's style b

I enjoyed this CD very much and have played it many times. Mike's voice keeps getting better and better with age.

Just heard that Mike Tramp has released a new cd. Which has some great musicians on it. Among others Steve Lukather. ??? Can anyone confirm this.???

From: white lion Date: March 9, 2003 at 2:06
yeah! the new album 'more to life than this' is great.

From: Rycheage Date: July 3, 2003 at 16:22
It isn't the hard rock that White Lion was or the even harder edge of Freak Of Nature - it's more mature than those records. This is a roller coaster record - it takes you on an emotional journey that when completed leaves you fulfilled like not many records can do. It's dark, it's personal, it's moody and it's intense from start to finish. It's also bloody brilliant and will be right up there for best of 2002.

From: Motley Date: August 11, 2003 at 12:56
Mike mike mike mike....Didnt you use to sing in White Lion??? Now you are back with this crap!?!?!?! Maybe your wallit is so empty so you must earn some money by making trendy radio music.....what a tragedy....

From: Scandinavia Date: December 17, 2003 at 13:33
This is a sorry example of a great rock'n'roller turning softer than soft...It's raw melodic stuff alright but Mr. Tramp will always be remembered for his time in White Lion & this isn't even close to their musical/stylistic perfection...

From: Jamie Date: December 25, 2003 at 8:34
To the two idiots who have posted above. If this album is too mature for you then why don't you go listen to some nu-metal as that seems to be your level. This album is excellent and it shows why Mike Tramp is still one of the most talented artists out there. He is thousands better than any of those shouters or rappers that you get in rock and metal these days. Don't slate him for bringing a more mature edge into his music as after all he is for the more mature market isn't he? I mean what kid w

Cool 'nuff 'bout you opinion Jamie but if you'd read what I wrote you'd see I mention the level of professionalism in the music itself...This comes nowhere near the virtuosity of Vito Bratta...That's what I meant!

From: Great Dane Date: December 25, 2003 at 16:05
Ok. Vito was good, but NOT that good. he ripped off Eddie VH, and thats about it. Mike Tramp is a musician. He has a special voice, and is very dedicated to his work. After White Lion 4- albums + 1 best of. He made some good music with Freak Of Nature. But his solo stuff is outstanding, and the musicians he's using on those albums are far better than any White Lion player.White Lion was a Teen Pop band, His solo efforts are mature with good lyrics and solid playing. And thats even easy to hear.

From: Scandinavia Date: December 27, 2003 at 8:18
Ahh yes...The eternal debate! Was Vito a mere Eddie-copy??? Well, not in my book! Sure he's heavily inspired by Halen but has so much more to offer...His techniques & repetoire is more mature than that of Eddie. Eddie was almost self-taught. Vito knows theoretically what he's doing and you can hear that! Don't underestimate the guy!

From: Jamie Date: December 29, 2003 at 12:12
No bother Scandinavia. Have any of you guys heard Jani Lane's solo album yet? If not check it out. It rocks.

From: little fighter Date: May 25, 2004 at 23:58
yes,Vito always my fav guitar player. He got a very nice melody solo on all the songs and his techniq is very good.just go listen songs like war song, little fighter, hungry, going home, broken heart, blue monday, radar love. His tapping solo, harmony very catchy and well composed. But sad they disbanded after mane attraction album. i dont agree some people say they are teen pop band because of the ballad they do have heavy song.maybe because of the producer. whatever it is,i wish the best for Vito.

Just like the debut solo album, this does nothing for me. Average rock with little worth, IMO. Not bad... just not too good either. I still don't recall any of the songs.
