Winger deliver again in this slickly produced hard rock release with progressive undertones. I'd say this is closer to Winger IV than Karma was but it still carries on where Karma left off - in fact the opening track has a piece of "Deal with the Devil" before heading in its own direction. The guitar work of Beach and Roth is still top notch and there are plenty of decent riffs and meaty solos to satisfy that hunger. My favourites are Rat Race (a hard rocker), Better Days Comin' (a slight funk-infused rocker with great catchy vocals), Tin Soldier (probably the most progressive with a great riff), So Long China and Another Beautiful Day (the heaviest track on here I think). All in all, worth every penny and all the wait. Get it.

Love the opening trio of tracks, which make for a really rocking start to this album, all three bang on the money. The title track is soft & slightly funky & will not be for everyone, but it's an ok song & gives a little respite. The more challenging, dare I say 'Progressive' tracks on here like 'Tin Soldier' & 'Storm in Me' are cool too & shows the 'Darker' side to the band. They add a lot to the variation & pace of the whole disc, which I really like & show what a different beast this band has become over the years. The 2 stand out cuts here though are the highly melodic 'So Long China', which is superb, featuring a great riff, chorus & a fantastic middle 8, which really finishes the song off to perfection. The other 'Out Of This World', is a very fine brooding closer with tasty Reb Beach solo to finish. Time needs to be spent with this album to get the most from it, as this is certainly not a 'quick fix' or 'instant' disc, but it pays off handsomely in the end. A big thumbs up.

This album is growing on me. The "making of" DVD is very interesting and gives excellent backdrop to Kip and Reb's music making and their long standing relationship. It really shows their talent. Worth picking up.

Once again Winger pulls it off again, proving that any flack directed at them during the 80s/90s was unfair. Since their comeback they have showed themselves to be excellent musicians and a cut above many of the contemporaries. This one to me is kind of a cross between IV and Karma. While I prefer Karma to this one, this is in no way a knock against this album as its a stormer.

Had posted an earlier comment; saw these guys this past weekend. Man, they are a tight band. Reb Beach was phenomenal and Rod Morgenstein did not miss a beat. They were great. Have been listening to this new album (also Karma) non stop.

Iīve been living with this cd a while now and ready to say, that itīs yet another Winger masterpiece! All the different sides of Winger covered in one album. And thereīs also something new. Iīve been listening lots of Doobie Brothers lately and the title track Better Days Cominī comes really close guys. Simply fantastic!
