Pretty damn cool... swaggering hard rock that draws inspiration from the Black Crowes and early Aerosmith. Wailing solos, raunchy vocals... all-round killer hard rock. 8.5/10

Doesn't live up to the hype (but, then again, nothing could). It's not bad, but it's not that great, either.

This is Pretty cool for A New Young band playing 80's style Hard Rock. I believe Mr.Edward Van Halen Picked them himself to open up some shows on the Latest VH tour...Pretty Cool!!The Disc is Produced very well. The singer has a Chris Robinson/Nic Cester Vibe. The band is really tight and the Guitar Players Have done their Homework..... 8.5/10. Great to Hear Nrw bands Playin' guitar Solos and not afraid to do so.

Damn, I'd like to see this band make it huge. Reminds me of Black Crowes (vocally for the most part), Aerosmith with a little Guns N' Roses into the mix. New bands which sound and actually LOOK LIKE rockers! Ain't Comin' Home is an instant classic. 9/10

Actually, the singer reminds me more of Josh Todd from Buckcherry as does alot of the music on this CD. It has a Black Crowes/Buckcherry combo sound to it.

Good analysis, it does have a Buckcherry influenced sound, now that you mention it. These guys have another release, it's an EP from 2003 called "American Excess." I don't have that (which is why I didn't add that along with this). I still think Walt Lafty's voice bears a resemblance to Chris Robinson.

It does tread on the Black Crowes/Buckcherry territory. It's not exactly groundbreaking, but then again what is these days? What it is, is just fun, straight ahead rock n roll. This is a breath of fresh air, but not earth shattering. Worth a poke.

Brilliant!!!!!!!, It's great to hear bands like this around in 2004. If you liked Buckcherry, well you have to get this pronto!!

Freakin' Awesome! Straight-ahead blues driven rock ala Black Crowes. Major Crowes influence here, but definitely not a sound-alike band. Standouts for me are 3,4,6,10, ah fuckit I like the whole damn thing, not a lot of filler goin' on here. The only song that doesn't fit the mold as much is Heartstrong, which has more of a modern feel to it ala Gin Blossoms/Matchbox 20/Tonic...still a great song though!

Oh....MY....GOD!!!! This one blew my damn socks off!!! "Ain't Comin' Home" is just SO in your face from the first drum THUMP!! Head bobbin'..hair shakin'...hands in the air...this one is GREAT!!! Other strong points (for me) are 'Devil's Daughter', 'S.F.C.', oh heck...like BC said...I like, no LOVE the WHOLE thing! 9.5 / 10 for me..

KILLER, KILLER, KILLER!! The best hard rock album of the year by far!! Maybe the best hard rock album since Buckcherry's Time Bomb. This band are very similar to Buckcherry, an awesome vocalist with brilliant carizma & attitude. Great production, Excellent song writing & kick arse guitars!! 10/10!! Maybe even better than Buckcherry. Everyone needs to get this album. Masterpiece!

This is good stuff guys...kinda like The Black Crowes meets Tesla drinking Jack Daniels while listening to AC/DC's "Back And Black" & the Van Halen debut. I love this stuff. Great production. Some of it is tailor made for radio, such as "Heartstrong." It resembles Matchbox 20 in some places. Tracks 1, 3, 7 & 9 are highlights. Pick it up.

One of the best hard rock albums in years. Pure, straight ahead, hard driven, raunchy rock'n'roll turned up and belted out. I couldn't get this CD out of my car stereo for weeks, and I still go back to it about once a week now. My only complaint about the release is the "copywright protection" because when I ripped the songs to go on my iPod, they were all screwed up.

very good debut for SILVERTIDE offering the classic US hard rock sound ,a bit updated but not overdoing it!their sound is somewhere between BUCKCHERRY,BLACK CROWES and TESLA as stated above and you ll find all the basics in good strong doses!"mary jane","ain t comin home","S.F.C." are the highlights!good stuff
