| A friend of mine gave me this CD after a trip down to North Carolina. Good solid stuff, very crunchy. Too bad they weren't able to go further although it appears some of the band memebers are still kickin' out there.

| This was one helluva live band. Saw them in Panama City at Club La Vela back in '94. I figured I'd buy the CD later after they became huge, as I was sure they would. Took me 6 years to track down this CD on ebay. This is easily one the best indie releases I've ever heard. Hard as hell to find, though one sold on ebay recently for about $15. Rare as it is and good as it is I'm surprised it doesn't run higher. All tracks are great but "Dawg" is a head-shredder. Pounce on this one if you see it!

| these guys rocked , kinda on the heavy side ..great musicians and great guys..all went on to bigger and better bands..sevendust..stuck mojo..doubledrive..and now even evanescence..they have a 2nd cd titled bitter black water..good luck finding it........

| Forgot I even had this one. It's been a long tome since I listened to it but if I remember right it's what hard rock was all about. Some great musicianship with hard crunchy guitars. Being released by the band, the production is better then what you would expect.

| They formed in 1989 out of Fayetteville, N.C. & managed to release a few tapes before both longplayers (btw, their 2nd release was titled, "Bitter Black Water" in 1995). They were a prime example of a band forming at the end of the Hair Metal scene & beginning of modern crap. I wouldn't waste time with either of their full lengths although there may be some highlights of legit melodic Rock/Hair stylings somewhere on them. I would try to track down their earlier 5 song self titled tape release (that has been Bootlegged) as it consisted of fairly decent Hair Metal with the modern garbage just staring to creep in. They managed to play along the East Coast & apparently shared the stage with both ALICE IN CHAINS & SOUNDGARDEN. Their vocalist would leave after the 2nd release & move on with the drummer & bassist to form VIOLENT PLAN. All lof the members became involved in other acts like KORN, STUCK MOJO, SEVENDUST, JEFFREY CANTRELL, SEETHER & others from the garbage scenes of today.

| Just goes to show ya. While some people like to view their musicians as metal warriors who should never sell out to trends and should fly the flag of "true" metal or "reall" rawk (whatever that fan's own highly subjective definition may be) ... most of these guys just wanna get paid to play music, period. And if it means disbanding a group that's going nowhere in 1994 and chugging out drop-tuned rhythms in Sevendust or Stereomud, then that's what they'll do, because by golly it still beats getting a real job. In the nu-metal/early postgrunge days, the woods were thick with guys from marginal hair/sleaze/glam/pop-metal bands, sporting trendy new haircuts and seven-string guitars. The aforementioned two bands in Still Rain's case, plus countless others.
