Well done progressive hardrock/metal from these Italian guys. Nothing earthshaking at all, but promising. But to reach the level of acts like Dream Theater, Threshold, Symphony X, Magellan, Shadow Gallery, Rush etc. etc., there is still a lot to do. But not bad at all !

Fantastic debut album from these Italian prog metal artists. The inevitable comparisons to Dream Theater and Vanden Plas are dead on correct. However, I do hear influences from Toto and Deep Purple. It's not all prog metal influences, there are some from the hard rock sector too. You would do yourself a great favor by picking up this debut. It is that good.

It's pretty simple for me. I just don't have the attention span required to listen to Prog. This is not bad at all and there are some nice hooks and good solid melodic moments, but the songs are too long, varied and the bits you enjoy have a good chance of never occuring again and in the end you're just left with a drawn out mess, IMO. Nothing against it, but I just can't concentrate for little result for that long. Good prog, but only recommended to prog fans.

Italian progressive metal scene is really excellent,It's a surprise for me.Mind Key with Solid Vision is maybe the best prog metal band from Italy in activity. They are superior to Solid Vision because they don't take Dream Theater as only guiding band but they show also strong personality and a great melodic approach too. Also their second 2008/9 cd is really excellent but less commercial as melodies. My english is very weak,I am sorry.
