Cool CD from the ex-Shelter man. Fans of Vinnie Kay, Beau Geste, Alien's self-titled etc. are in for quite a treat indeed. Not quite as good as Shelter's mythical release, but still a high-end indie.

Actually, I was listening to this again the other day and JT's closest musical cousin would DEFINITELY be the band SAY ("Heart Still Beats"). A bit of Freddy Curci (Alias) influence can be felt as well. Great CD.

This is an excellent cd. I even like it better than the original Shelter cd. I would contend that the closest comparison for this cd is the self-titled debut from Mitch Malloy. This cd doesn't quite measure up to that one, but it's still pretty damned good. Definitely worth the $40 it tends to go for on ebay. People pay hundreds for AOR stuff not nearly as good as this...

cool cd.can't put my finger on who they sound like.but much better than shelter.imo.but if you like your rock melodic. and full of keys and catchy hooks.then this should hit the spot.

I've read all the booklet's lyrics/inserts,for me is not christian but it's a mega absolute release!

From: tomcat Date: January 13, 2005 at 2:02
"answer me now" is truly a masterpiece of a song;..perfect tune..

From: z4roxx Date: February 15, 2005 at 8:07
I consider this cd one of the best aor indie release ever heard.Clean production, simple aor but straight to your heart with great melodies and arrangements. This is a pure true aor gem indeed,I know the price on ebay is not so low but It's a must,IMO.

Check out Shelter's website http://paradisenow.tripod.com for a new and incredibly cool contest!

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: April 27, 2005 at 0:04

A place in your Heart is a killer opening track. Sets the pace inmediately. Sing a long chorus with excellent guitarplay. Bck where i Belong is a good melodic aor song. Answer me Now, Jet Black Eyes , Dont let Go, One in a Million, Leave the Heartache and Time in our Hands are in that same upbeat catchy melodic aor style. Great set of songs. Only the ballads were lacking something. Excellent release. 88/100

A master piece of AOR (imo). Looking for this cd long long time. If anybody can help, have tons of great AOR for trade. Long live HHarmonies!!! j2aortrade2@yahoo.com

Very enjoyable album!!!..a very "in tone" singer...the one that put songs in a high level of commerciality ,"A Place In Your Heart" is a catchy AOR song along with "Back Where I Belong" & "That's Fire","Here For You" is pretty nice and "Time In Our Hands" closes the album decently...not the best album ever recorded but surely listenable...89/100

To all old Shelter / JT Shelter fans, and FYI. The Shelter website is being closed down the end of this year (2011). We (JT Batten (vocals), Jim Kanaris (original drummer) and Jim Beis (the band's first photographer) are doing a fund raiser for cancer research. If you are interested in helping out with a donation, visit www.sheltertheband.com or http://www.conquercancer.ca/site/TR?px=2638534&pg=personal&fr_id=1373&fl=en_US&et=kPYEVq0Umv6Uq-b7eVsGNg..&s_tafId=214963 and read the details. A sealed copy of of the original indy CD/and tape and a copy of the radio release from 2005 are being given to the first 50 doners who donate $50 or more. Help us out as we ride to conquer cancer, and eradicate it in our lifetime! In advance, thanks for any and all support! - JT
