If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Doxy CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Doxy are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

These guys have some pretty good tunes, but like Falcon Scream, they don't last. Good luck finding it.

From: TIM Date: March 15, 2002 at 19:26
I actually think the more I listen to it, the worse it sounds. The singer is like a raspy version of Davey Vain. The music sounds kind of like a Skid Row/Tesla mix. They are not as skilled as the others I mentioned.

From: David Date: August 17, 2002 at 2:30
TIM, is this worth the $20?

From: TIM Date: August 22, 2002 at 9:37
Not unless they are giving you $25 to take it-LOL.

From: Chris Date: April 4, 2003 at 2:43
Yeah, I see the Skid Row/Tesla influences, but I also see a musicality not quite touched in other glam rock/street rock bands. Like, the song "Blink of an Eye"; wow, George Martin doing production for Tesla ??!! or how about "Lights Go Out", Very textured and heavy! "Switchblade Serenade" is choice, and "Catch you When you Fall" is a ballad up there with Poison or Warrant anyday. I picked this up in Arkansas when I saw them open for Slaughter at the Colliseum in Little Rock. Great live band.

Nice to have in your collection, but quite generic.

From: Geoff Date: March 5, 2005 at 18:15
Decent hard rock, but I didn't think it was that great at all. One of those CDs you hear quite a bit about, being called a great idie... then you finally get it (on CDR), listen to it once and it's really not worth going back for repeated listens. As I say, not really bad, but there's a lot more better hard rock bands out there.

From: zuffen Date: March 14, 2005 at 16:38
I have both releases..... The guitarist went onto do Sybils Machine...most of the guys are still around. After the slaughter shows, there was talks with MCA, but it never happened. Anyone want the original tapes or cds let me know. I'll check back here. Rockandy Records

Zuffen, I would love to know more about the band. Their album "Innocent Until Proven Dirty" is on Suncity Records's hit list. I would love to contact the band and get this officially released on cd. Any help from anyone would be much appreciated!! Thanks, David

From: TIM Date: March 14, 2005 at 18:51
It was officially released on cd, David. They are from where I live as a matter of fact. I sold all 5 copies I had, but I'll keep looking. They are tougher to find these days.

From: David Date: March 14, 2005 at 22:54
TIM, there first album was never released on cd called "Innocent Until Proven Dirty". That's what I've been told anyway. Suncity Records Alert High!!!

From: zuffen Date: March 15, 2005 at 14:26
The cassette debut is Innocent Until Proven Nasty, It was just a 5 song demo and local release for the shows. I have a box full in the shrink wrap. The drummer can be found at www.downforfive.com email me at b_dodd@cox.net those that want details on the band. What is the this suncity's hit list? As for re-releasing either sessions email me and I can hash out the details.

I live in the Tulsa area and I've been trying to find out about its Hair Metal scene for a long time. This is the first band that I've been to able confirm is from here. I think it's freakin awesome. I'm only 21 now so it's not as if I could have caught Doxy's shows back in the day. If you guys had a reunion show I'd be the first one there. I love Hair Metal and this stuff is my life. I still haven't got the album yet. I'm hoping Starship or some place around town has a copy. I can't wait.

From: the game Date: January 29, 2007 at 16:45
Average Glam/Hard Rock. Picked this up for $5 but not worth the average E-bay price of $32. There is a Skid Row/Tesla comparison. The vocals are great and some good guitar solos. There are a couple of good rockers a couple of ballads and a few filler songs. Fave songs are Winner Takes It All, One Sided Love Affair, Switchblade and Blink Of An Eye. Rated 6/10.
