If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Xcursion CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Xcursion are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Please tell me that this band really has MARK SLAUGHTER on vocals!

Yep. It sounds very dated, but it's an interesting piece of hard rock 'history' to have. As with everything else on Old Metal Records, the artwork is poor, and in reality it is a bootleg as opposed to an official band-sanctioned release. However, if you're a Mark Slaughter fan, you'll want to add it to your collection...

This CD is worth having, if you are a Slaughter or Cold Sweat fan. You can tell they were on a budget, production-wise, and the sound is a little dated. But you have to remember, this thing came from 1983/84. It's really pretty good, all things considered.

WARNING! FOR MARK SLAUGHTER FANS ONLY! This is truly a horrible album, but a must buy if your a Slaughter fan like myself. This album is what you would call 'So bad that it's good'! Its an interesting album because it sounds like a group of guys trying to learn how to rock n roll for the first time with no direction.

A must for Mark Slaughter fans! Nice collectable!

Yes, pretty amusing and obscure release....Not the worst music I've heard...

From: gener8tr Date: March 29, 2004 at 23:09
I'm very disapointed... Old Metal Records usually does at least 'some' mastering when they transfer LP to CD-R. This thing contains all the hiss and needle noise from their half-hearted first attempt. I swear I could do better in my parents garage with my old SHARP cassette recorder. Too bad, it is a fairly neat recording and piece of metal nestalgia.

this was a great band I love mark slaughter timeless mark slaughter stuff that is.

From: Jonny B Date: August 28, 2004 at 16:20
I picked this one up in a trade, and I agree that Xcursion is for the extreme die-hards. I think think one of Mark Slaughter's best vocal performances (aside from his stint with Vinnie Vincent and the first Slaughter album) but it's pretty much lost in the sub-par production. Too bad, because the songs are good.

From: bobbyd Date: November 22, 2004 at 21:25
what the hell do you mean dated? considering it came from 83/84 , dude are you serious? dated is a good thing when it comes to music. The 80s were the greates metal era of all time as far as im concerned this is a great albm because it is dated idiot. (All things considered, what a joke.)

From: Jonny_B Date: January 28, 2005 at 15:53
Yes, actually, I AM SERIOUS!!! The 80's had tons of good albums with superior productions. This isn't one of them. And if it means anything, I WAS STILL IN DIAPERS IN THE 80'S!!! Be thankful that there are young guns out there who actually listen to this over grunge.

I had this LP when it first came out many years ago. I'am looking to get it again to add to my collection. I cannot find this lp/cd anywhere on the internet. Can anyone help me with some info as to where I can purchase this rare find?

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 1, 2011 at 18:02
Mark Slaughter's previous band...ummm...Hard Rock with a metal edge i'd say...first of all the production sucks big time(kinda understandable because this was an indie release)and if you listen to the main man he grew much more better as a vocalist after leaving this act...about the songs there are some good moments but they are all basically destroyed because of the sound..."Ready To Roll","Too Fast","Over The Edge","Ladies Of The Night"(catchy),"Never Again"(catchy),"Tear It Down" & "Mind Over Matter"...the B/T are fillers ....for curiosity is an interesting record but you'd better be into Slaughter's material rather than rushing to get this...70/100

WOW.. this was very painful to listen to maybe back in 83/84 when i was a teenager it probably would have been cool
