Great!!!Thank you JOHN!!!

From: T-BONE Date: August 11, 2001 at 17:13
Neal Schon is still one of the best guitarists out there. Check out his guitar work on the Hardline - Double Eclipse cd.

From: koogles Date: January 2, 2002 at 6:32
A real AOR gem, whose lifespan was cut short by the members' decision to call it a day almost the minute after the CD was released. Darker and less consistent than the first CD, as all the best songs are stacked at the beginning. Still, well worth picking up whether you're a John Waite fan, a Journey fan or simply love well-built AOR.

From: chris c. Date: March 1, 2002 at 10:06
I agree that album is not quite as strong as the first, but still a great album! they just don't make them like this anymore!

From: Curt Date: March 16, 2002 at 1:52
I think this album is real close to the first album. T-Bone is right, check out Neil in the band Hardline. They kick almost as good as Bad English. If you like Neil pick up the HSAS cd with Sammy Hagar. It's not to bad. I'll give it a 6.8.

From: freddy de keyze Date: September 5, 2002 at 7:49
The second one and once again, a masterpiece. If this would have continued, it could have been the best AOR act of all time. After only two records it's difficult to sau that, but this is SUPERB ! As good as the first one and not to be missed !!! ESSENTIAL again !

From: Baris Date: September 8, 2002 at 8:54
I don't have the first album but this one quite satisfied me. 'Time Stood Still' and 'The Time Alone With You' are among the best melancholic rock songs I've ever heard. 'Na na na na na naaaa' and 'Straight To Your Heart' are also shining stars. Yeah, I liked this album. I wish I had the first too...

From: Goodyear87 Date: September 8, 2002 at 21:48

From: Baris Date: November 6, 2002 at 0:48
I've had the debut at last. It's much better than this.

From: adrian Date: November 24, 2002 at 22:05
Hey!! I really like the song 'When I see You Smile' Bad English Your the best Band!!

From: Bill Date: June 9, 2003 at 19:11
Ghost In Your Heart - possibly the best AOR song ever written!

From: dan c. Date: July 25, 2003 at 0:52
debut is a cut above this, but still better than much of what is out there from other rockers. john waite is too underrated and can sing the ballads and also rock with the best of them!

From: Carlomagno Date: October 21, 2003 at 12:21
Excellent album, I sometimes like it better than the first one, 'Rebel Say A Prayer' is an anthem, 95/100

From: Harvey Date: November 27, 2003 at 17:42
A really strong AOR album. Major record companies just won't finance this sort of album anymore. The nearest we've had in the past 5 years is Journey's Arrival...and that didn't even feature Steve Perry. I welcome independant labels like Frontiers and Now and Then but they simply don't have the money to finance an album as well produced as this. Great stuff...sing along now...'na na na na na na na, na na na na na na- na na...Eden'

From: Ghost Rider Date: December 12, 2003 at 0:05
Well this one is alot less Journey like not that there was anyhting wrong with Journey because I love them but john Waite isnt that kind of singer so this album to me is alot better than the debut because its also darker and this one doesnt have filler like the debut either so this one is quite moody but also good and that was welcome when 91' was the year this kind of music went downhill.

From: Date: December 20, 2003 at 18:24

From: Dani Date: February 19, 2004 at 22:05
As good as the first one. This guys were amazing, what a bunch of great songs!

From: Dave Stamos Date: April 20, 2004 at 7:56

From: Axe Machine Date: May 13, 2004 at 8:52
One of the finest AOR albums to grace my ears. Perhaps not quite as strong as the first one, but an extremely close second. The song 'Savage Blue' is a masterpiece, and the production from Ron Nevison is of course first rate. Another must have album from this sadly missed supergroup.

From: TIM (2) Date: May 25, 2004 at 5:01
Classic. As good as the debut for me, with fewer ballads and much better up-tempo tracks. The opening 4 tracks are all-time AOR classics. Is getting a 10/10 from me.

From: Rockhead Date: May 25, 2004 at 8:30
Totally agree Tim (2) this is an excellent album that benefited from a slightly harder edge. Neal Schon plays a bliner. Savage Blue and Pray For Rain are my 2 favourites, but the level is so damn high my favourites change constantly.

From: Gabriel Alves Date: June 17, 2004 at 3:14
Way much better than their first record!!! Beuatiful songs with a good performance from the musicians. The lyrics are very special for me, reminding me good days in my life. When I listen to this cd I don't understand how come a great band like this did not was a big hit, packing concert halls all over the world! Tears always fall from my eyes when I listen to it due to the great and beatiful melodic songs! It's a perfect example of good musicians playing for the sake of the music!

From: Geoff Date: August 16, 2004 at 2:09
And just to prove they could do it again... this release is superb too. Some lovely 'romantic' songs, for lack of a better word and a melodic hard rock gem of the highest order in the shape of 'Straight to your heart'. The majority of the other songs are all excellent too, and once again the vocals are just brilliant. Great melodic rock! 8.5/10

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: October 8, 2004 at 12:00
BUEN ALBUM PERO NO LE LLEGA AL PRIMERO, TEMAS BUENOS PERO NO TODOS, ME QUEDO CON Savage Blue UN TREMENDO TEMA DE AOR A MEDIO TIEMPO. Y Straight to Your Heart.

Straight to Your Heart,Savage Blue,Time alone with you,o la portentoza So this is Eden y la espl'ndida producci'n. Revalorizado 8.50/10. carro_martin2000@yahoo.com.ar

From: wyrm Date: November 29, 2004 at 7:10
Great album! Especially when you know that John and Neil were in the studio rolling on the floor fighting with each other during the recording of this album. john even dissappeared for a couple of days (weeks?), then returned and finished the last vocal parts...classic

From: Swriter Date: February 12, 2005 at 22:27
well, not as good as the wonderful and ground breaking first album, but a very good one but a bit darker in lyrics and a bit heavier. What more could you want with John and Neal in this band??? Good second release by this great band!!!

From: Aussie Dave Date: March 9, 2005 at 16:12
IMO this is the perfect example of how good AOR can be when great musicians with great songwriting skills get together on a major label. Better than the debut. A more consistent album with absolutely no filler. Every song could have been released as a single. One of the best albums i own. Simply awesome!!! 10/10....

From: Melodiker Date: March 21, 2005 at 7:47
Second Masterpiece ! Amazing ! Buy or die ! 9,5\10

From: Lennie Date: April 18, 2005 at 16:37
Yeah, OK maybe not quite up to the amazing standard of the debut, but then not a lot is??! Another must buy for all AOR fans.

From: Lovedrive Date: May 24, 2005 at 8:51

From: ROBERT Date: May 24, 2005 at 19:15

From: Nick C Date: September 14, 2005 at 19:25
Bump bump!!! Lets do the same...almost. A great release but coming from a darker place than the first (signs of the tensions within the band?). But still killer AOR/Melodic rock...for pure dynamics the opening bars of Straight to Your Heart is unbeatable. It's such a pity the band fell apart not long after. If you like you AOR with bite and not the watered down stuff we are fed these days then this is a must buy!

This still gets the nod over the debut for me - less ballads & a generally more consistent, shorter, tighter set of songs and no filler this time. I genuinely like every single track on this, so won't highlight certain faves. Brilliant in one word.

From: victordeaor Date: September 16, 2005 at 6:18
Cierto.

From: victordeaor Date: September 16, 2005 at 6:19
Lo siento he dadao a la tecla equivocada... los mejores temas ' So This Is Eden ' y 'Rebel Say a Prayer ' 8/10

From: Blue Tequila Date: December 20, 2005 at 19:29
Finally got my hands on this one. Schon and Waite again do a terrific job! The first half of the cd is incredible and I was giving it the edge over the debut but it kind of fizzles towards the end. Still a great cd and worth picking up.

From: mauricio Date: December 29, 2005 at 18:35

From: mauricio Date: December 29, 2005 at 18:36
SO THIS IS EDEN-THE TIME ALONE WITH YOU-DANCIN OFF THE EDGE OF THE WORLD con ese sonido melodico de BAD ENGLISH.otras son PRAY FOR RAIN-SAVAGE BLUE-REBEL SAY A PRAYER-TIME STOOD STILL.pero al igual que su debut hay 2 temas que no me cierran y son LIFE AT THE TOP y MAKE LOVE LAST.ademas, despues de la edicion del album a los pocos meses de vida se dieron las diferencias y roces dentro del seno de la banda, llegan a tal grado de acritud pues la situacion se hace mas insostenible para los 5 miembros

From: headbanger4life Date: January 4, 2006 at 3:33
Second great album by this band. Not as good as the first but it's still an awesome release. It seemed that this one was a little slower/softer. I'd still take this one over half the other garbage out there.

From: Kralli Date: August 2, 2007 at 22:23
Both albums are amazing! This one has a few more really really really great amazing songs than their other release (1,2,3,4,6) but maybe even the few of their not so good song is on this record. The debut has more overall good songs but not some of their really greatest cause the are right here. Anyway both of them are a must, sertinly since they are almost for free. If any cd's should be expensive theese two should be...

From: Rycheage Date: September 30, 2007 at 17:53
A bit more consistent than the debut with less filler. The songs are tighter and more cohesive. A bit darker than the poppy sounds of the first one but make no mistake, this is top notch AOR. 'Straight To Your Heart' is the clear winner here but there are no losers. All the tracks are strong.

From: calitos10 Date: December 13, 2008 at 11:47
A classic. A must-have!!!

From: rockhardrock Date: May 1, 2009 at 9:25
even though the debut album is their best, this one is a great following. my favs here: So This is Eden, Straight to Your Heart, Rebel Say a Prayer and Pray for Rain

From: 123charpenay Date: May 1, 2009 at 17:32
Fantastic aor album

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 19, 2009 at 22:06
Amazing how this band of great musicians didn't last too long...recently i saw a documentary with Mr Waite saying how things were tearing apart among them..hardly any contact,no inspiration at all and minding their own business separate ways led to the end of the group...anyway talkin' about this album it simply rocks!!.."So This Is Eden"(great opener),"Straight To Your Heart"(first single and a very catchy one by the way),"The Time Alone With You"(wonderful lyric),"Rebel Say a Prayer" and "Savage Blue"(this one should have been a hit too)..for followers of the musicians that belonged to this "project" this album is a essential one 2 have!!!.90/100...so this was Eden...shamely...

From: pie75 Date: June 25, 2010 at 9:05
guys it is a good album this one sure nowhere near as good as the first and not as many memerable songs butit's worth having even for the talent alone

From: DanDare Date: October 16, 2010 at 19:34
Clealry anything that they brought out after the first one was going to have a lot to live up to. But, dang, if they didn't nearly match it. Once again every song is excellent and a joy to behold. Both albums are flawless, but the first one pips this one, but only just.

From: happy2849 Date: December 12, 2010 at 12:04
Their 2nd release and just a tad less consistant then their 1st. This is a great release but on the darker side and a little heavier at times. Still worth having in your collection.

From: hair metal again Date: April 29, 2011 at 3:45
amazing 2nd release for thisimportant band!i an a lucky guy cause i lived those blessed days of hard rock music.this is perfect from every aspect and an essential addition to ecery collection "straight to your heart","the time alone with you" and "savage blue " are my favs

From: 123charpenay Date: September 17, 2012 at 13:36
excellent second effort from this dream team.very fine and class a o r.a very hight level even if the first record is a little better.the two bad english albums must be present in all serious aor collection.neal schon said that many problems of ego( i m not sure of the english word) between the musicians ruins the band.they have splitting some days after this record was out!!!unfortunately no bonus track on the japan import.

From: titothetitan Date: April 10, 2019 at 8:25
decent album, but far away from the impact of their debut.

From: titothetitan Date: April 10, 2019 at 8:30
hello 123charpenay, if you wish some exclusive Bad English songs I recommend you 'The Lost Tapes' bootleg. It could have been a killer 3rd album.

From: dany69 Date: April 11, 2019 at 19:43
Great comments as always mon petit cousin ,!!!!!!!!! Drole j'etais juste en train d'ecouter the first Bad English,,, ( when i See your Smile ) a pure classic Bro,,mais je vais regarder pour ce bootleg,,,Merci my Bro,,take care,,Danny,!!!

From: CC Date: November 28, 2019 at 17:30
I will be the first to admit that I was never really familiar with this band and had never gone out of my way to buy their stuff, but was always a fan of the song Missing you by John Waite, and the two albums were cheap so I thought "Why the hell not". So far only this one arrived and I love it. Have to say listening to it all I could think though was how much it reminded me of the album Blood on the bricks by Aldo Nova (an album I have owned for years) even down to the similar vocal style. Not suggesting anyone copied anyone, just my observation of what this reminded me of.

From: Dramarama Date: May 20, 2024 at 9:19
I love this album, I think it's so much more textured and varied than the debut. Time Stood Still is definitely my favorite but there really isn't a bad song on here.
