i m a big fan of "animal attraction" and "spirit" two top class records.category "melodic rock"?yes if you want."turborider" is a mix of electronic music, new wawe music, aor, hard rock and party rock.even if "future lover boy" is a super song the rest is average.year after year reckless love have lost his imigination and his inspiration.they have mixed lot of different kind of music for a decent result.no more.this record is for the core of their hard die fans.

What an awesome album! Yeah, Reckless Love goes synthwave but so fucking what! There´s still Olli´s voice, Pepe´s guitar and lots of breathtaking melodies. I can understand if synthbased music is not your cup of tea but when people say Turborider is a bad disc i don´t believe a word. This is easily one of the best albums released during the first quarter of 2022.

RL have always been a band playing pop songs with beefy guitars, which I like as a rule and the first 3 albums were enjoyable escapism. However when those guitars are swallowed up by synths then the songs lose all of their charm and basically become Europop. Olli Herman doesn't have powerful enough vocals to salvage these songs and make them appeal to a rock fan IMO and for me only "Eyes of a maniac" & "Prodigal sons" are even worth hearing more than once (and they would only be fillers on the first 3 albums).

Lovely Pop album by a band that has changed for sure on its musical direction and becoming more commercial as ever ...that's the way they have chosen to be and it's respectable...my fave ones are # 1,3,4,5(cool cover),7,9 & 11(the "heavy one")...enjoyable stuff...85/100

My album of the year for 2022. I like it poppy, catchy, synthy, with soloing guitars keeping them rocky. They, for me, come over like a mix of The Poodles and Le Brock, and I have seen this album talked about on Synthwave recommends lists. Great stuff!

I love this new direction with more emphasis on synths. It's what separates them from a genre that can sometimes get stale if not injected with something fresh. It's hard to blame them for wanting to try something like this, and don't really get the backlash from fans, unless they are closed minded. The only complaint, and it's minor is the cover of "Bark At The Moon". While it was done well, and somewhat of an updated and fresh sound, does not seem to add much to the overall presentation.
