| this new wet s realise is a very serious pretender of the best cd of 2018.it s a killer record in the vein of their two last albums.track 4 and 8 are two exceptional ballads,the other songs are top class hard f m songs with irresistible choruses,big guitars ,perfect production and jeff scot soto,like always, sing like a god.the japan bonus track in an acoustic version of 'elegantly waysted'.fans of talisman (first record)this cd is an absolute priority.

| Charpenay, you know I don't do it to bust your balls, so this English lesson is for your information only: A 'pretender' refers to someone that acts like something they are not. I think you're looking for 'contender,' which would be a recorrd that contends, or competes, for album of the year. A pretender is the opposite of a contender. A contender really can win, a pretender only puts on an act with nothing behind it. You hear the two words used together a lot in reference to sports.

| hello doghouse.thanx for the english lesson.i need it.when i ve writing my comments i had a doubt i would like to say 'prétendant' in french and i remember that the traduction is 'contender' cause this word was often used in the comments of a o r heaven reviews.but for being sure i had looking in my dictionnary 'le robert'.and my dictionnary write :'prétendant' is 'pretender'.so i ve trust in my dictionnary even i was not really really sure.good week end my friend and greetings from france.

| Third time is the charm for W.E.T. as the opening track 'Watch The Fire' is the best song the band has done to my ears with JSS and Martensson's dueling vocals. Their last release was so-so IMO,being a little light weight for my taste. JSS seems to be the new Michael Bormann of MHR (MIA for 2017), with multi-irons in the fire, fronting 2 bands, and a solo release in 2017. 'Earthrage' (sounds like the next Al Gore Global warming documentary) is a cohesive/consistent album with little dead weight. It's early in the year, but 123charpenay is right that this will be the album to beat for top MHR release of 2018. The Japan bonus track is a bit a let down, it's 'ELEGANTLY WASTED' (Acoustic Version). Bonus track should = new song, not different version. | totally agree with metallianstallion.now the fashion or the new habit of the japan imports is that the bonus track is an acoustic or piano version of a song of the record.we are ok!!!!!!bonus track should:NEW SONG.

For me this just a decent AOR album compared with the previous ones this one pales a bit...an album with that typical sound of the band and the way JSS knows how to deliver it friendly and kindly  ...tracks # 2,5,7,9,10 & 11 are,of course,catchy and nice songs of the genre,the same formula used before and,as i said,with the JSS trademark stamped.75/100

| Un decente disco de AOR en la talla de lo NORMAL con un o dos temas que sobre salen por poco de los demás. Temas parejos y acorde al año con los nuevos efectos de sonidos que hay por ahora, recomendable al igual que sus anteriores trabajos. 8/10

| While this isn't quite the return to the self-titled brilliance of the band's debut, it's certainly better than Rise Up IMO. It's got a much more hard-rocking edge (a few songs in the middle of the album sound like re-recycled Eclipse songs, which I guess should be expected from Martensson at this point) and the choruses soar on each and every track. There are a couple songs that feel forced (the last one sounds like they just re-wrote 'If I Fall' with different lyrics) but it should appeal to you if you're a fan of Martensson or JSS.

| 123charpenay, I made my own bonus tracks for this album by taking the 2 songs from WET One Live - In Stockholm W.E.T.. The studio tracks are are from 'RISE UP' but those tracks rock harder than anything on that release so it's understandable why they didn't make the cut, as these 2 songs flow nicely with this album. 'Poison' (Numbing the Pain) (Bonus Track from Rise up Sessions) 'Bigger Than Both of Us' (Bonus Track from Rise up Sessions)

| The reason there is 3 posts of the same comments, is because there must be a glitch on the site, on google chrome, it shows NO comments by me for WET, I log on to HH on Explorer it shows all 3 repeated comments, but does not allow me to log in, Maybe it's webmaster maintenance or a HH conspiracy.

| This is basically tied with Rise up for me, but all 3 are awesome albums.So Rise Up, Earthrage, W.E.T. is my order. First 2 were my #1's for the years released.My favorites are, Urgent, Watch The Fire, Burn,I Don't Want To Play, Dangerous, and Elegantly Wasted, BUT there are NO skippable songs to be found on this album! HIGHLY recommended!

| For me this is just about on par with Rise Up. Rise up is still my favorite, but all 3 are fantastic. W.E.T., and Rise Up were my #1's the years they were released and I can see Earthrage doing the same(but still have a ways to go in the year).My favorites on the album are, Watch The Fire, Burn, Elegantly Wasted,Dangerous, and I Don't Wanna Play That Game, but there are no skippable songs on the album. Highly recommended!

| My least favorite of their albums, but still a big fan. IMO, I feel like JSS and Erik might be spreading themselves a bit thin with all their projects; only so many songs to choose from, etc.

| As on their previous album, the songs are almost all built upon an almost unbearable wall of fuzzy and way too loud sounding guitars. Listening to the whole cd is a real effort, you're litterally exhausted after the ride. The guitars sound exactly throughout the whole album, and tend to kill the melodies in each song. A pity with all this musical talent aboard. Calling out your name is the best track on show.
