| Hey, I'm the first review! This cd is definitely worth the money. Their best effort. I can honstly say that there are no bad songs on it. Some of their later stuff was pretty forgettable, but this is a classic!

| Not the best 80's rock album I've ever heard... But DEFINITELY BETTER than most 80's bands I remember!

| This is more towards the "new wave" trail that U2 blazed with their first few efforts. The Alarm had more talent than theis CD shows. They get progressively better on all subsequent releases but this is a good starting point. "Declaration", "Where Were You Hiding When The Storm Broke?" and "Blaze Of Glory" sjowcase the talents of this 80's "new wave" band.

| I own this CD, and it's a very good effort... but I'm not sure they belong on this site? I'd place these guys along side the Cure, U2, Oingo Boingo and the like. Definately not Flock of Seaguls "New Wave," but not in the same vein as Leatherwolf, either.

| I agree with gener8tr,i personally think this band belongs to a completely different site.Even though this album is good.Also recomendable is the second and third ones,but if you don't know the band at all try then their greatest hits called "Standars".

| Totalmente de acuerdo con los 3 últimos comentarios. Estos The Alarm hacían un Rock orientado al New Wave onda U2, The Cure, Oingo Boingo(De acuerdo gener8tr) y que mas tarde grupos como Wire Train, Ocean Blue y demas lo harían. Definitivamente no para este Site pero un gran album para su época en que salió. 8.5/10

Here i am listening to this great and iconic piece of Rock'N'Roll album...my vinyl is worth some money i think  ...yes,this band is heavely marked by U2 mainly because of Mike's voice that is pretty much alike to Bono's...in my old comment of 2005 i did not mention my favourites...well those are the intro "Declaration" that leads to their best song ever IMHO "Marching On","Where Were You Hiding When The Storm Broke?","Sixty Eight Guns","Shout To The Devil" & "Howling Wind"...85/100
